Bandwidth is only part of the story. I find it annoying to do anything on my College internet when 50 people is using the same access point. Still get the 100mb/s broadband, but I get 2000+ ping. Now, that's annoying.

I mean that's like saying "oh. my a/c doesn't work, but at least I'm not in the sahara." While a quasi philanthropic outlook on life like that is a good one to have, sometimes it just doesn't make sense. In the a/c version, it makes sense. Not so much with the bandwidth one though. Food for thought. I had a feeling the "you're just jealous" card would be pulled here. I'm pissed off at the fact that they get paid millions of dollars and interviews up the ass for having fun playing trivial games all day, whereas someone who actually does something to benefit society, such as a firefighter or teacher, doesn't get nearly as much money or recognition for their work. The same applies to people like Hannah Montana. That type of stardom makes me sick. In no way am I crying about how I think I deserve attention or whatever you're implying by comparing me to a bunch of popular perpetual boys. Also, there is the fact that football itself sucks. EDIT: One thing I did overlook is that football players encourage kids to stay active and exercise, making for a healthier society. Other than that though, I am baffled as to how some people worship them and how literally the majority of their conversations revolve around them. Honestly I think being that much of a fanboy for anything is pretty ridiculous; football just happens to be at the top of the chart. Instead of it being some escapism from life for the general population (which I would be completely fine with), it is their life.
October 23, 201015 yr Oh I assumed you were venting your frustration towards student athletes rather then athletes in general. When you do think about it, it's not entirely fare that the value of their physical skills is much higher then that of people that are really important in society. However I do believe athletes earn their money much more then stars like Hannah Montana because they more so a product of a corporation rather where athletes who work hard their entire lives, day in and day out, to even get the chance to compete at a professional level. Also people people like firemen, teachers, etc don't really do it for the money, most people in professions like that are doing it because they want to teach or help others. Money comes second.
