They insist that you adopt a pet from their shelter, but they have such strict rules on how you raise it. They denied a little girl a cat because she hugged it.

There's this girl in my College who always verbalise every thought she has. Annoying as hell 'cause she's so damn loud -.-

I've gotten 10 calls from the same number in the past two days, they're talking in a different language, so I can't tell them to gtfo.

That's kind of understandable. There's no reason to give the animal to someone if they're probably going to kill it. I'm also willing to bet that the girl's hug was hurting the cat or at least making it feel uncomfortable in some way.

Specifically: My mother towards the Iowa game today. "OOOOOH NOOOOO!! THEY SCORED NOOOO!! OH WAIT, THEY AREN'T CHANGING THE SCOREBOARD..." at which point I closed my door. Could still hear her -.- Also when people have to repeat what just happened in a horror movie. "OH GOD HE JUST GOT STABBED. OH MAN NOW SHE JUST GOT HER HEAD LOPPED OFF." Just want to tell them to shut up -.-

Well, it's worse if it's on Youtube. You can see like 80 thumbs up for comments that are basically repeating what's said in the video, killing the joke.

I can understand that some rules do need to be placed to insure the pet's safety, but, trust me, if you've met some of the people that work there...

 

All of them are extreme PETA supporters and if you do ONE thing slightly wrong while they let you see the animal, they immediately take it away.

 

They call hugging an animal "abuse", and they say that a person MUST be in the house at all times during the first two weeks of adoption. My friend adopted a cat from there, they said that nobody except the family could be in the house for the first five weeks, so the cat could "get used to its surroundings", which is total BS. My cat got used to its surroundings in a day, and I had friends over too.

When I think of somebody being denied a cat because they "hugged" it, I think of a little girl crushing the cat almost to the point to where it can't breathe and shaking/swinging it around. While she does love the cat, that kind of love will kill it.

 

I just don't believe that anyone could be denied a pet unless they were "hugging" it like I described.
