I got nailed in the side of the head with a Mountain Dew bottle today by one of those morons. Their motto is, "Act now, think later".

You'll get the last laugh in about 20 years, when they take your order at a fast food restaurant.

People to stand still in the hallways. In the middle of the hallways, just doing nothing.

Holy [cabbage] people, move the hell out of the way.

What annoys me more than people moving slowly/standing in the hallways is when I'm part of the group. My friends will be standing in a line 5 people wide, And I'll usually walk behind them just so it doesn't look like I'm blocking the hallways too. And my friends walk together, slowly, quite often.

I hate when a teacher announces to the class that if the noise continues, we lose X privilege/fun thing, and, in true 1st grade fashion, 90% of the students seem to be literally INCAPABLE of shutting the hell up for two seconds.

Ads that play sounds or videos.

 

Specially when there are more than 1 of them in the same page, and you only realize this after you opened 12 tabs from the same website.

But the worse part is, they may just be your boss. People have this idea that (and I don't just mean you, a lot of people believe it) a) if you're an idiot in high school you're an idiot for life or b) idiots don't become bosses.

 

 

I think once you get out into a larger career field (and note I don't say this condescendingly at all), you'll find unfortunately "idiots" become bosses a lot more commonly than expected.

People seem to think that everyone else will quiet down so they just continue to talk.

 

In elementary school we had this stupid system at lunch where a fake stoplight would display green if we were talking at an acceptable level. If we got too loud it would beep at yellow 5 times and then buzz red. When it was red we had to remain silent for however long it took to turn green. 3 red lights would make it to where you couldn't talk for the rest of lunch and you could get after school detention for talking during a red light. There wasn't a day at lunch where the damn thing wouldn't go off a full 3 times.

Right now, what annoys me is no matter what song I listen to on YouTube, be it the Rollin Stones, Queen, Iron Maiden, there's always talk about Justin Bieber! Holy crap! I mean, isn't it enough that his name appears on his videos and other mainstream stuff like lady gaga, or whatever rapper is popular. The worst is that justin bieber comment is always thumbs upped to the top so everytime I see "## people are justin bieber fans" or "how does justin bieber have ##### many views while Queen only has ###". Ugh, stop talking about him already!

I'm not as bad as some people, but I can see why people behave like that. I usually form some sort of opinion when I hear a song on the radio, and usually it's not very good. If I hear another song by the same band, without knowing the band, my opinion will likely be different than my opinion of their other song. Then when I learn that they sang the bad song, I begin to associate the 2 songs, which never leads anywhere good.

Indeed, the problem is that most mainstream music now'days is puke-worthy. I love mainstream from the 60-80s. Before the days of freaking autotune. What an abomination.

 

The reason you get people who have an irrational hatred for the mainstream is because they don't want to be associated with the masses they so passionately despise. It doesn't help that much of the mainstream now is utterly devoid of creativity. Obscure artists tend to be very experimental.

 

Personally, I'm always hard-pressed to attain any inspiration whatsoever from listening to mainstream, whereas underground is a bloody goldmine.
