Looking at how crowded Runescape is with kids, have you considered a mature game, if you decide to play a other game? Some things by Runescape is so ridicolous childish. So yes or no? Have you considered a mature game for next time? Yes here.

I still play freaking Pokemon. So not really.
Consider how many kids are in the more 'mature' games though... The only difference between this and those is that this has a more kiddy atmosphere.

If it's fun to me, I'm going to play it reguardless of the target age group.
The challenge of a mistake is not to avoid it. The challenge of a mistake is dealing with the outcome.

I do get annoyed by some quests being unbelievably silly but otherwise I don't really have a problem with kids or something.

Play a xbox live game rated M and you'll find many high pitched voices screaming in your ear, there is no escape and I believe runescape is no different. I find runescape to have quite a few adult players, I have several friends older than I am.

I've played WoW.. Much more mature in my opinion, easily regulated as many serious clans require 16+ / 18+ to even enter them. (quite often checked by voice / facebook, you know what). It is much easier to avoid the few children around there. Also much of the game goes around times not suitable for kids :)

Anyways, I don't have the time for such a game. I am currently looking for some other game, but haven't come across one that can be played casually and works properly on my oh so slow laptop!

As for the kids in Runescape.. 90% of the time I have public chat on hide and the few annoying people in my CC end up on my ignore list. I get them kids out of my way :)

I don't understand why people don't just turn public off/on friends if they don't like the community...

Meh... a lot of the people on Runescape are just too lazy to type properly (including me, sometimes).

Just because they type like a kid does not mean they are one.

Also, a LOT of kids play those so-called "mature" games.

I play games for fun. I don't particulary liek children (in fact i hate them), but if they are playing the same game as I am, i have no problem with it, there are always methods to silence them

Also, being rated M doesn't mean it's mature: Madworld and Gears Of War 3 are both rated M games and are more childish then Zelda or Shadow of Colossus.

No reason you can't play more than one game. Hell sometimes I'm playing other games at the same time while I'm grinding on wc or fishing or something else boring like that. Probably a huge sin, but I've even played *gasp* World of Warcraft and RuneScape at the same time.
