Bad911
I've come up with a few problems while curse training and I need your help!Problem:1. I can't curse Mage Dummies in Lumbridge.2. The highest I can lower my magic attack bonus is -50 because of the water tomb, making it hard to splash. Is there any equipment better than this:- Metal Helmet, Metal Armor, Metal Legs- D Vambs- Fighting Boots3. Places to curse. I need a place with a lot of monsters in multi-combat area where either a lot of people fight monsters, or where their levels are so low that I can't get damaged. I tried to do the Varrok mice trick I made up years ago, but now the mice animation movement makes it so hard. Preferably a place where I can be of help. I'm testing my own theories, but I would like to hear some of yours.
blossom2581
curse Zammy monk in the locked up cell in Varrock Palace or across wilderness ditch in the Chaos temple Both are fine First, with your outfit, your curse splashs the large majority of the time Even if you successfully curse it, after a few seconds, the curse wears off and the monk can be cursed again A new member; f2p for 4+ yearsSeldom get online due to in real life businessAlways support f2p improvements
xSxqPowerx
I don't think you can get the required -65 magic bonus to splash every hit in f2p with a tomb of frost. Meaning your best bet would be to find somewhere with a lot of monsters (or possibly something with low enough stats that they restore the stat loss quickly, not exactly sure how it works on monsters). SirIzenhime
the Monk in Jail at varrock castle almost instantly restores it's stats when successfully cursed. schmuall
Not sure if this method still works, but if you find someone else who wants to train using the same method, you can splash each other in the Duel arena. I think wearing full d'hide is best for this. give F2P a penny and they want a dime; give P2P a quarter, they want 100,000 dollars, your car, house, boat, social security number, credit card numbers, drivers license, clothes on your back and everything you ever owned or interacted with ever
All_Is_Great
Try the scorpions in the alkharid mine. Theres alot of them there, so if you hit one, you can switch to the next one w/o delay. Its where I used to train my pure years ago.
jjjon123
May i ask why you're cusing?, its not exactly a good way of increasing magic level.Since your using a tome of frost, i assume you are not low-leveled, so idk why you would be using it. If by chance its because of cost, then your better off superheating since the time you save from cursing you can use to gain the small money loss back 1,000 F2P Total Level Reached 10/8/10 ! Only F2p items are counted as "taken" bank spots nowadays, so you won't have to be removing your P2p overflow (or so my exmember friend tells me). For cursing several locations have been mentioned in earlier posts, but I'd like to add the Black knight's fortress. Although it will require some focuss, the level 8 knights shouldn't do much damage at defence 80. Assuming money is an issue for you, if you are able to bank bars you could always go mining and superheat the bars of the kind you can bank (this will generate profit) and then use the profit to buy alcs or alternatively smith the bars while alcing the items you smith. I personally did this with mithril (bringing ores into the guild, banking bars, then smithing + alcing mithril platebodies) until magic 90-ish. Although that might be slower training, if done for only a short while it can still offer cash for faster training methods you might want to utilize. I think I've second guessed myself a hundred times by now. Ok, so based on your friend's advice, I have 86 F2p items and if I remove 19, It'll say 67/68? This is tough. Not to mention I already bought 153k body runes, lol. Good thing I bought them at 4gp each. :( I don't wanna ruin my talisman collection or my clothing sets or my mould set. This is going to be tough.
Aslan
Could always sell some stable items to a friend that has bankspace(p2p would be better).
Bambootsa
You could sell some moulds that are easy to get and when your back in member buy them back...
Sinkhan
Do you have any F2P armour sets like full rune or dragon hide? You could head to the GE and then convert them into box sets to conserve space. Maybe you could post a bank screen to give us something to work with. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
Bad911
Already cleared bank space. I just don't know what to super-heat. Someone just tell me what to do, lol. I hate being so indecisive. (I was selling my body runes, sorry for not replying)EDIT: Damn, losing money if I superheat mith.
lagatag
Superheat iron ores. You'll lose like 2 gp per xp, but it's the best magic xp you'll get per hour superheating. Mithril/steel/addy often vary between losing less than 1 gp/xp or gaining less than 1 gp/xp, but are slower xp per hour. If you had wines of zammy in your bank I'd recommend going there to curse, plus grabbing wines when they spawn, but I don't know if that would even work out very well. Silver_Corner
While the xp is halved, FoG (using the highest magic combat spell you can) would still be an option for you. FoG is semi-afkable, not usually tedious, and free. You can take the tokens you win and put them towards gloves to sell, in which you can buy things to get you even faster xp. I'm not sure what the xp/hr would be on f2p compared to cursing or super-heating, but its free xp, so it might be worth checking out.
Dexek
I believe the mages just north of the rune shop in Port Sarim are immune to whatever type of attack you attempt on them (it it heals them), anyways something like that. Couldn't you deck yourself out in gear with a high mage defence bonus and go cast water strike (or a more expensive spell if you prefer) on the water mage for simplistic magic experience? Go do a test run there to see if I'm right.. I haven't attacked one in probably 2 years. If that doesn't interest you, then I agree with the FOG approach. The rates I managed assuming at least 59 mage for fire blast and fail casting on a non runner was about 22-25k/h. Pretty low in the grand scheme of things, but not bad for being pretty AFKable and free. I watched a whole TV series while I casted with my pure to train mage.
