This weekend, the Triumvirate will be hosting a series of PvP World events pitting the Lords, Judges, and Reavers factions against one another in a battle for supremacy. Everyone is welcome to join in the fray, so I've come to offer an invitation to anyone interested. :) The more the merrier, so clans as well as individuals are encouraged to attend.

 

I apologise in advance for the rather short notice, by the way, but the Community Management Jmods in charge of organising the event have only just now announced it.

The Community Management team proudly present an epic PvP war for the greatest warriors of the Triumvirate. It's:

 

Realm vs Realm!

(not for wimps, crybabies or Justin Bieber fans!)

 

 

 

 

 

 

We've sparred here and there, had the odd 100 warrior scuffle in clan wars and the occasional heated meeting between factions. The time has come though to up the scales and bring true glory to your faction!

 

Introducing the first, realm vs realm war! An all out PvP bloodbath for control of RuneScape! Each faction will be tasked with controlling a specific location in the world of RuneScape whilst simultaneously trying to steal control of the enemies base.

 

 

This challenge is NOT safe. If you die you WILL lose items. Be warned

How it will work

 

 

The challenge will take place across Saturday the 29th May to Monday the 31st of May. It will span 3 worlds and there will be 3 challenges each day and at different times.

 

Each faction will start in a specific location and you need to defend that location as well as take control of the enemies.

 

Lords - You will hold the Dwarven Mines (hold the rocks just South of the camp entrance)

 

Judges - You will hold Lumbridge Catacombs (hold the far end of the first corridor, the one filled with spiders)

 

Reavers - You will hold H.A.M. Dungeon (hold the wooden doors before the stage area)

 

The battles will each last 1 hour, during that time J Mods will take screenshots of the battle every 10 minutes a selection of which will be uploaded over the course of the event to our Facebook Page. We'll then give you all the final results on Tuesday. You'll all be tasked with wearing a specific Wilderness cape and we'll judge who is in control of the area from which cape is most abundant in the screenshots.

 

For every location you hold at the checkpoint times your faction will receive 50 points. That means you can earn a maximum of 8100 influence if your team is able to control every location, across all servers and at all times! Such an amount will clearly put your faction in the lead!

So what do I need to take part?

 

 

To take part you'll need gear you're willing to lose if you die, plenty of food and you'll also need a specific Wilderness cape.

 

All the Wilderness capes you need can be bought from the vendor William for 50g. You can find him roaming around the Red Dragon Isle in the Wilderness, or around the Demonic Ruins. Alternatively you may find them on the Grand Exchange.

 

 

 

 

Lords will need to purchase the blue team cape, number 21.

 

Judges will need to purchase the green team cape, number 31.

 

Reavers will need to purchase the red team cape, number 41.

 

These capes will identify you to your allies and help prevent accidental team killing. If for some reason you cannot get hold of one of these capes then wear a brightly coloured cape which matches your faction. Please be aware though that your allies may mistake you for an enemy if you're not wearing the team cape.

 

You may want to purchase multiple capes in case you die and lose them.

Final tips

 

 

You WILL die in this challenge and items will be lost, however, you also have a lot to gain from killing your enemies so the risk is worth it. Here are a few tips to help you cope:

 

Bring lots of food with you.

 

Avoid bringing items you would hate to lose.

 

Bank everything you don't need.

 

Have back up armour and equipment saved in your bank.

 

Wear your team cape!

 

Watch out for sneak attacks on your way to the bases.

 

Keep an eye on your prayer.

 

Make sure you have enough ammunition and runes to last you.

 

Get advice from your team!

 

 

 

 

What is Realm vs Realm?

 

In RuneScape it's a massive PvP battle where you fight to take control of locations defended by your enemeies, whilst also striving to protect your own.

 

Is it safe?

 

Not even slightly! This event is for the most skilled combatants in RuneScape and will really test your warrior abilities. If you die you will lose items, but you can also obtain some pretty epic rewards from killing your foes.

 

I don't like combat I prefer skilling

 

Then unfortunately this is not an event for you. You could spend it baking your friends some cake to use but chances are you're flour will get dirty from all the bloodstains.

 

Wat duz Treeumvorat meanz?

 

Mod Hohbein? The Triumvirate is a community game of three factions vying for control of the RuneScape world. You can read more about it here.

 

I love carnage and bloodshed but I'm not part of the Triumvirate. Can I still take part?

 

Of course you can! Just pick a side that sounds cool and team up. You may find you really like your group in which case you might want to sign up and officially join them!

 

I don't like the Wilderness Cape, can I wear my own?

 

If you absolutely must wear your own cape make sure it is at least the same colour as your faction (i.e. green for Judges, blue for Lords and red for Reavers). Be aware though that without the team cape you are more susceptible to being accidentally killed by your own side.

 

What clan chat do I use?

 

Your free to use any clan chat for this event, but we would recommend using the official ones for each faction:

 

'The Lords'

'The Judges'

'The Reavers'

 

Will you replace any items lost?

 

Sorry, but as we say, this is an unsafe battle and you will lose items if you die. We won't replace these however for those who survive you'll be able to earn a huge amount of influence for your faction and you can always keep what you collect from your kills!

 

8100 influence!! That's a bit much isn't it?

 

It is a massive amount if influence but you can only achieve that amount if you hold every location, at every checkpoint, across every server and for every event. Frankly if a faction is epic enough to do that I think they deserve so many points! It's more likely that the influence will be divided between each faction as you all hold onto different locations at different times.

 

These worlds are members only. What about free players?

 

A good amount of feedback we received from the Clan Wars challenge was that our players wanted a chance to show off their members gear. For that reason we have geared this challenge for our members. We will still have F2P challenge in the future.

If you need an incentive, many of the Triumvirate members are inexperienced in PvP, so I imagine there will be plenty of "easy 76ks" to go around. It promises to be an amusing event, at the very least, so don't hesitate to show up for a battle or two should you be available. :P

 

(As a loyal member of the Judges, I would prefer that you come to support my faction, but that's entirely up to you.)

The first war today had a surprising outcome; it would seem that the Judges have won! :) Of course, the official results are not in yet (still to be confirmed by Jagex).

The "Realm vs Realm" Triumvirate event was concluded on Monday, and the results are finally in!

 

It was certainly a grueling series of wars (9 held over a period of 3 days), but I believe everyone who attended had a great time with it. I'm afraid that crashing did become more prevalent as the wars progressed (particularly by members of RoT, apparently), but that wasn't near enough to ruin the fun, thankfully. :P

It's not their fault that P2P fansite clans are few and far between. There are actually a LOT of P2P clans on the RSOF, with little rankings and structures. They're not like 'us', yeah, but they should be getting a little love, too.

was there friday/sat, the most fail that is that it was in 1v1 even tho it clearly states on the Judges thread that Judges should work together. I took that up with Mod French and he just came up with ''You COULD go multi, but then you would leave your base less defended.''
