I DEMAND POPULARITY. It's 'cause I'm sick and have no stories to tell. ;/ Here's something I wrote for this blogging website I use. Notice that I don't go into much detail about the dating. It's 'cause Jane uses the same site and reads what I write. Trashed, Lost, Found. Exactly a week ago, Monday, I woke up and decided that I’d go to Santa Cruz the next morning. I’ve always wanted to see Santa Cruz. When I lived in San Francisco, I never took the time to make the trip. I don’t know why, but it just felt like it was the right thing to do; it felt like I was meant to go. I needed to get away from everything I’d been doing; I needed to get away from everyone I’d been seeing and spending time with; I needed to get away from my daily life. It was a spiritual journey. Tuesday morning, I left. I made multiple stops on the way there. I got to see and feel and walk on snow. I think I might’ve enjoyed the drive more than actually being there. When I got to Santa Cruz, I immediately set off with my guitar. The weather was beautiful. I found a spot on Pacific Ave to set up, and for the first time in my life, I played my guitar on the streets. I ended up making a grand total of $2.50, and it felt great. People actually stopped to listen to me and compliment my music. I went to the beach. I felt the ocean and walked in (on?) the water. I spent the freezing night playing my guitar even more. I sat in a toasty coffee shop and wrote music. Eventually I left the beach to find UCSC, where I met some incredibly intelligent and talented people who ended up letting me crash on their couch. I left early the next morning. I loved Santa Cruz, but I realized that it’s not the place for me; it’s not where I would want to go to college or live. My journey was successful, though — I was only there for a night but it felt like a week. Since getting back, however, I’ve been terribly sick. I can’t stop coughing, my body is sore, my head feels heavy, my eyes feel like they’re dying in my head, and my nose doesn’t exist. I’ve spent more time inside and alone this past week than I have since god-knows-when. I’m always doing something. I’m always busy. I’m always hanging out with or going out with someone, but not this week. It’s a nice break. There’s no drama, no commitment, no confusion, no driving around, no money spent (my favorite part!). It’ll be nice to start anew when I get better. I’m taking a much-needed break from dating. I need to spend more time with my best friends and less time with temporary flings that never go anywhere. I love dating and meeting new people, but it gets way too exhausting trying to keep up with everything. In my defense, these girls find me most of the time, especially the last one (and oh-my-god … never again). Here’s to new beginnings. I didn’t leave my heart in Santa Cruz; rather, I found it. Then I went to TDs and got jack [cabbage], but I did DIE THREE TIMES LOL. The first time was due to bad luring, the second time was due to bad luring and bad switching, then after looting my grave I decided to get one kill without any healing, and I died AGAIN due to good ol' fashioned bad switching. I got back to my grave every time. I had three sapphire lanterns in my inventory after the third death, lol. Though I'm somewhat rusty with my prayer switches, my item switches are fast as ever. I was using void and rapier and switching without losing any attack turns/ticks. Sometimes I was switching after every hit. I [bleep]ing love TDs. EDIT: Oh, and I really need a chaotic crossbow. Rune is way too inaccurate for my taste. Then I went to barrows with void and rapier and seriously [bleep]ed [cabbage] up. I did seven runs in like forty minutes. First run I got dh plate, last run I got k top. LOL RUNESCAPE. I have an offer in for torstols, so as soon as I make a new batch of overloads I'm going to DKs. I'm 500k from 85 dungeoneering but I cbf right now. Rapier is too much fun. Still sick so nothing special happening IRL as of right now. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off. Obtaurian Posted January 12, 2011 Author Share Posted January 12, 2011 guys nex shot obt ;/ Today I made a new batch of overloads and went to DKs (2.5brid, no drops), solo Bandos (with dragon defender and steel titan, LOL, no drops but I crashed two 135s who hopped instantly, and I found out that steel titan sucks at solo bandos), and some slayer. I'm out of brews or I'd take my steel titan to TDs. I'll probably be DGing tonight while I wait for brews to buy. 500k exp to frost dragons fml. EDIT: I really need to unlock frosts ASAP. At DKs, I was soulsplit flashing every single hit on rex and supreme even though that's really dangerous. I got hit for a few 400s from prime. At Bandos I would stay around 300-400 lp and just hope I didn't get comboed LOL. and of course I die at TDs all the time because I never tele when I should. I always tank dharok in the tunnels, too, no matter what my lp is. explains why I die all the time in dg, too. I'm pro at soul split flashing while using protect prayers, btw. MHING IS SO FUN OMG. too bad brews don't buy. ;/ I'm determined to get over my illness by tomorrow. My best friend informed me that this girl I've been on a couple dates with is really into me, so I'm gonna say wassup tomorrow. Also the other girl I mentioned before texted me tonight. fml.
