My nobles should actually donate to infra every once in a while because they are gouvernors. Since who wouldn't like their cities to look better?

Icu, sorry about that. I only read one of your posts which had the part about the adding of additional troops. Just pretend it didn't happen, and you can go ahead and attack next year. Basically you keep the army you had before, and Sardinia doesn't know a thing.

Also, I'm trying to work on a relative scale for the cost of ships, so I'll try to have that up tonight.

Does anyone know the kinds of ships that existed back in the High middle ages?

found the numbers.. there are: 2000 SB's, 2000 knigts, 1500 peasents, and 1000 axemen.

plus the general Thunder, a calm head with a good right hook.. and skill with spears and axes.

EDIT: tech... wikipedia it! but i think there were galleys, fishing ships.. and some trasnport ship. no idea, really.. oh yeah, some raiding ships.

León changes its religion to recognize the Flying Spaghetti Monster as the supreme deity of Earthly creatures.

btw in case anyone missed it: Retech's battle report is on the last post the page before this.

Oh god.

Eden now worships C'Thulu.

Yeaaah.

Burgandy now worships the Earth and Industry, and since god created the Earth, we still kind of worship him too, so popey wont be mad at us.

The city being cut into a mountain is to be named Minas Tirith (For epic luls).

Burgandy is now named Terracadus. Which is latin for Dig the Earth, but altered a bit.

Lord... my religion had a practical purpose at least...

I mean, Christianity doesn't provide very good motivation except for the zealots, but even, no, especially in times of peace it's kill or be killed in for the Orlog Anstasa of Iceland. There may not be as many left afterwards, but between lethal competition and the military schools those left will be strong as hell. Assassins, who might be able to take on as many as five equally armed opponents at once and still hold their own. And it has obvious and, to the people of Iceland, familiar roots in Norse mythology. And it makes more sense in medeival times than Scientology does in modern times, so it's at least plausible.

All of this was part of my planning, I took Iceland because it was suitably isolated and not an immediate danger to mainland Christianity.

Galleys.

You're crusauding them, and there has been a long on going war with Christianity for centuries, and it's currently your area where it is being fought.

There's been a call for a crusade, but nobody has actually done anything yet.

Useless. Militant Christian societies will produce equally skilled fighters. Religion has nothing to do with genetics.

Triremes?

Also no biggy, I guess I can wait for the new battle report, and you're doing a good job modding.

Let's hope THIS time, it wont all go to hell and die!

@Dusty,

Cause we're waiting for you, I don't even think it's a good idea no more.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

Oh, and Retech, does my 6,000,000 invested in military schools add to Infrastructure or whatever? How does that system work?

The military schools just basically mean I will try to make your generals make slightly smarter situations, or perhaps have insights into a position of a battle, so they may have tactical advantages. It's actually a decently large advantage, especially when you otherwise might be out manuevered.

I have barely invested in anything.

How much do different troops cost?

Retech, hate to nag, but I settled part of the tribal land I invaded earlier. I can dig up the map if you want.

Anyways, whatever remaining budget I have before the new 5 year span is started is put into infrastructure.

Well, the military schools are mandatory, they should produce a fair crop of students. Basically, unless ships reach Icelandic shores successfully (and I have preventative measures in case of that...) Iceland won't have any majour armies. The point is that I don't have traditional units, and none of them are quite as low-class as peasants. There is meant to be a country-wide moderately trained militia, as well as a fair number of highly trained military units and a few specialists deployed on the mainland as hired soldiers. Basically, most of them need to have some tactical prowess and command ability.

Earth, I still need your numbers for the raiding. I don't know the size of your army.

Mather, here are some estimated troop costs. Of course you can invent your own troops, but just compared to the chart:

Peasants: 100-150

Spearmen: 250

Pikemen: 400

Archers: 400

Elite Pikemen: 700

Heavy Horse Archers: 700-800

Men at Arms: 500

----

Yep, I saw it. There haven't been any map changing events except that though, so I feel sorta lazy to update the map unless something big happened.

Most of my budget is consumed by cutting a city into a mountainside, which is going to take around 20 years.

Still, the million or so I have left is going to be stuck into mining and forging operations.

Can any further changes be made to that map? Fixed all those annoying white spots, and changed Wales' colour to reflect that it's not actually owned by León, merely a vassal state.

Sure. Keep in mind that they are not definitive numbers, so they are only there to help guide me and you in making some budgetary decisions.

EDIT: Yes, thanks Dusty

Whenever the English realize that it's more important for them to defend their own country rather than Wales (who they don't even like anyways).

It is kinda annoying though how both France and the HRE storm into Bruges and Antwerp and annex it in two days or so, yet it takes me a week just to vassalize bloody Wales.
