Take out of context much...?

I mean as an idea for defense, I'll still have to do the vault up and stuff, christ..

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

Thankfully Crete has a wall of water that protects it...its called the Mediterrain

I do think that discovering landmasses is kinda gamebreaking. Only the Mod should have that kind of power.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Oh you [bleep]er Paul.

Burgandy changes it's name to the Kingdom of Zephyr.

Work begins on special battle chariots, as well as increased blade quality using folded steel, wrought iron and then a softer steel to create a superior blade.

Huh. This is off to a good start.

Chariots have been obsolete for like...a millennium now.

Actually, bladed chariots were used for quite a while.

And I wanted that place too Dusty ;)

Oh well, I can still earn money with a trade route with him, if he is willing to accept.

Yes, they were used for quite a while, a have been obsolete for 1000 years. Hell even the Roman legions would laugh when they saw some backwards eastern state fielding chariots.

The French have always wanted Spain. Never seem to get it though.

He's Muslim. We don't trade with Muslims because they're heathen bastards that have invaded Christendom. Sheesh, does nobody here have even the faintest clue about Medieval European religious tensions?

Kiev begins training 2,000 knights, 10,000 peasant archers, and 10,000 men at arms

We move into the Baltic, dazzling them with our superior culture and vast army.

(Where do we find out how much money we start with :3)

Glorious Kiev gives royal sponsorship to the Merchants of Muscowy, a trade league established to protect and strengthen the trade of Eastern Europe, formed around the Silk road of Asia.

EDIT: Oh right, it's in lettered form not numbered. Make it a number so it stands out please!

It seems I can train only 2.5k Men at Arms in 10 years. I feel this is ludicrously low! Either way, as this is clearly a strong army (how else would it be balanced), I still subjugate the baltics. They love us Kievians!

Men at Arms are like peasants but better! They are the discipline of the Romans but with the badassery of the Greeks.

EDIT2: Fantastic! 1000AD is right in the centre of the golden age of Kiev. Long live Vladimir the Great!

'Tis I, 'tis Vindice, 'tis I!

Dusty, we can't afford 20,000 anything... 20,000 peasants would cost 20,000,000 and we only get 10,000,000.

That's just stupid. Here I was being reasonable with an army that size and apparently it would cost Europe's entire budget to arm a rabble of peasants with halberds! Bah.

With the revolution over with and the Children of Eden in full command of France, King Icu decided that it is time to get the hierarchy back up again, he has appointed his most trusted followers and friends as lords of the factions, who will now be part of a senate, otherwise known as the Court of Eden. The court is where all decisions of France are made, and they're all lead by the Saint Icu who holds all power of the court right now, the factions who're part of the court all specialise in their field.

The house of blood

The house of blood is one of the main houses of the French military, they hold the crusaudes for Eden and their members are known as the Knights of Blood, who adorn red armor which is coloured blood red, the knights are trained in a specific fighting art which is mainly aimed at how to get the most blood out of the enemy as quickly as possible, thus they experiment with captors and animals to know which areas of the body to attack.

Their emblem is a sword plunged into a fallen warrior, the soldier and sword are red with the background being black.

The house of grape

The house of grape is not a military faction, and is mainly designated with luxury commodities of the French traders, they're close allies with the house of gold, they have basically no army but our the second richest faction in France, second to the house of traders.

Their emblem is a bunch of grapes amongst a blue/purple background

The house of traders

The house of traders is mainly focused on trade, but they have an army at which they use to escort their precious trade routes, and to make sure they're not disturbed, their emblem is a sack of gold open with gold falling into it.

The house of Eden

The main house of France, contains most of French army, and is the third richest faction compared to the traders and grape, they supremely rule France, and are of noble blood only, the person who in charge of this house if also the religious leader for CoE. Their emblem is the French flag.

The house of the shield

This house is also a military faction, they're charged with the protection of France, and mainly the protection of the vault, which is the most sacred area to the religion, their emblem is a shield adorned with the French flag.

The house of the sword

This house is the second largest military faction second to the house of Eden, this house is the main army used in France, while the Eden army, while being the biggest is only used with holy conquest with the House of blood. Their symbol is a sword with the same amythest in the sceptre of eden embedded into the hilt.

I did this because I got bored, and wanted to RP more, I will probably use these more later.

Assuming that my forum time is in BST.. 1am.

Or in another 7 hours. Maybe I'm wrong. Hopefully.

@Archi, the first post does mention trade routes, but they need to be marked on the map.

Sensible.

Rivers are trade routes, also you can build routes on land, but they cost money.

Also you can build port towns which can link to any other port town.

We just need a river map now...

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Yeah...Just the major ones, and they need to link to cities or something...So you can go river, road, port, road or something.

Edit: Maybe like Civ they give a bonus based on the distance, but each city can only be involved in a few trade routes...6 maybe?

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.
