The_Mather1
So now that your race is immune to 3 of 4 weapon types, what's your next plan? They're imune to bullets and energy, hit it with an explosive/mortar shell/large object or anti-replicator field/pulse and its down. archimage_a
Nex, there was a thread to respond to and a website to fix, and there is still 3 PMs(including yours) to deal with as well, so trust me, I reply to my emails as soon as I physically can. Delta and Beta Andromeda both have the planet Buchward. Beta Argo appears twice, Padua and Matsuki are copied but the bigger one has many more planets as well. For planet Annchi, Beta Quadrans, why does it say Surface Gravity: Simpkins? Sector 19: Caeli is unclickable. Delta Canopus appears twice. Sector 29: All but Alpha Antares unclickable. Hopi appears twice in Gamma Merak in Sector 42. Fixed Also, best planet name ever: MalseVasPaolaferrari. Strike that, it's DeMeis. Hehe, came up with alot of randon ones that were cut down to something less obvious =P Alpha Crater, Zeta Crater, and then Epsilon Crater is in the next square over? Sector 33: Beta Crater planetless. Sector 21: Alpha Carina planetless. Its supposed to be like that Erm, I think I found another player's planet. It has shippy things and a space station. Le Gasp! The shippy thing is a Matter Gate Arch, could you turn the map into a 10x10 square since we only have 100 sectors? We can, or we can split it into 4 quadrants(so that it doesn't strech the screen so much)I was gonna go straight to 10*10 but then all the constellations are somewhat out of sync =P And is it just me, or are Fluorine atmospheres very rare? Very rare. They double Industrial output. They should melt, but other than that all you can do is to sever the bonds between the nanite cells. Actually it could melt the nanites, since the nanites are made of a metal(presumably) and that metal has specific properties, like a melting point.Nanite bonds break (have a specific latent heat of) at 19,000,000 Joules per Kilogram. Most metals have a specific latent heat of 1,000,000 Joules per Kilogram, so most metals will melt, deforming the nanites, before the nanite bonds break.(Non science version: Nanites melt at the melting point of the metal they are made from OR vapourise when exposed to very high intensity lasers/energy beams...whichever comes first.) If you try to crush one you'd just squease it into a liquid-looking swarm which would quickly reform when there's enough space.Crushings relate to the Young Modulus of the metal the nanite are made of. (Non science version: If the metal snaps under that level of force...then the nanite breaks.) And they fight like humans... except they can stick their hands into other creatures head to stun them and mess with their brains. Close-Quarters they are deadly. But I trust Archi to do the balancing, and not allow it to be completely one sided. =)However one sided battles will happen. If people create their race with a glaring weakness and someone takes advantage of that weakeness...then that race is gonna lose every battle it fights. The game is designed to allow players to die and comeback elsewhere so I have no qualms about letting people destroy other people. That said...please kill responsibly. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. archimage_a
Your race is reasonable...and in this game reasonable is underpowered. Retech
Race: Lichtens Humanoid amphibians evolved from sentient kelp, deep within a vast ocean of an aquatic world. The water was crystal clear, allowing sunlight to penetrate several thousand feet into the water, allowing hardy kelp to develop on the ocean floor. They had lost their ability to photosynthesize since they evolved into herbivores, but their aquamarine color with green highlights remains as a legacy to their past. However, they inherited one special property from the resilient kelp which was not found in any other known species. Amazing skin. It provided them against protection from the harmful pathogens in the water, coupled with the powerful and protective filters on their lungs/gills, and extremely strong stomach acids. Their throats were also lined with the skin. It also became stronger over time, as artificial selection (skin quality was THE determative factor in attractiveness) favored resilient skin. The kelp became their main industry, using it for houses and even treated kelp for spaceships. No other material on the planet could be as versatile, leading to a complete disregard for metals and other chemicals until the present day. The species also exhibited strong sexual dimorphism. The males were complete idiots, but fought with natural and instinctual tactics. They also performed the menial labor, like digging or building. The females were the brains of the species, and had a cognitive capacity twice that of an average human in the 21st century. They were great lovers of art, and performed the intellectual duties. Advantages:HAZMAT skin - Natural resistance to all attacks, though rather low for physical injury in comparison and completely immune to biological hazards (see disadvantages)Mindless Males - Proletariat has little chance of revolting, and such a revolt is unlikely to go anywhere fast without a leaderBio-ships - Only requires a certain kind of world to produce a ship, instead of special metals. Materials are naturally resiliant like the skin, though obviously tougher. Naturally regrows slowly when out of combatPlant legacy - Can get nutrients by lying on the ground and absorbing nutrients and minerals through their skin (allowing it to survive in barren planets, though in the same temperature band)Kelp architecture - Developments and buildings are 50% cheaper, in a narrow band of planet types (that supports kelp)_Disadvantages:HAZMAT skin - After living in such a powerful protective shell, the species has a very weak immune system. Basically death follows large scale skin penetration (that the skin can't regenerate within a matter of minutes)Mindless Males - 90% percent of the population are imbeciles. Though not mislead by other species, even ones that look like Lichtens (due to plant pheremones in the skin), they can be coerced by a strong female Lichten leaderBio-ships - Lack of technology into regular shipbuilding makes all materials except for Earth-somethingiam unusableKelp dependance - Developments and buildings are 50% more expensive in other planet types (for the cost of shipping kelp in) OR can be built from standard materials at standard price, with a happiness penalty Master of your domain? Nexaduro
http://users.aber.ac.uk/lug9/delta_v/merakg5.html Think I'll have this as my planet. I've been searching far and wide and this so far is the highest resource planet. Not even close, ICU. I'd tell you, but then I'd have to kill you. By the way, Sector 77 appears twice, and seems to have usurped the Triangulum South Sector. Priogine appears on both Iota Cygnus and Dorado in Sector 74. Delamere appears twice on Zeta Cassiopeia, and I've also found an error duplicating the highest-resource planet yet discovered... But I'm not sure I want to point it out to you. :P Eris appears twice, in both Gamma and Delta Cassiopeia in sector 71. Also Delamere appears again, as well as a duplicate of Hecuba from Zeta Cassiopeia. Feininger appears in both Beta and Gamma Hercules in sectors 68 and 69. Watsonia may appear twice. Where? I don't know. Epsilon Merak in Sector 63 and Delta Carina in 62 both have planet Yepeiyu. Sector 67 is copied onto Sector 88. Gamma Patella appears twice in Sector 97. Epsilon Patella's two planets are also on Eta Circunis in Sector 98 and Theta Circunis in Sector 99. ____________________ Hey, here's an interesting planet Retech; http://users.aber.ac.uk/lug9/delta_v/borealisb4.html Also, found the only planet other than Rocco's that humans might be able to easily colonize. http://users.aber.ac.uk/lug9/delta_v/borealisd.html Hahaha, another good funny planet name: Sweet Von Jayanderson. Nexaduro
:P I'd have to say I'm the Planetmaster. On a side note, not a single planet fits Archi's requirements for my race.
