Woah they both sound pretty kickass O-o.   I vote for either.

Effectively with dungeoneering you could have a hegemony experience, running a ship or just killing the leader of an empire and taking control.

Also, I was wondering if this was the kind of the game where I don't need too much time, since I'll probaly be really busy on the weekdays.

The only difference between a disagreement between friends, an argument between strangers, and a feud between enemies is the ability to reconcile.

I'm trying to decide between these two right now.

One has a high temperature, slightly less resources, lower gravity and an oxygen atmosphere, the other has more resources, a cold climate, very high gravity and trace atmosphere.

I'm thinking I'll go with Padua.

Okay, I like that planet.

Can I have that planet?

2Xeo5.png

Okay. I'll probaly be able to fit in 30 minutes each day, but I won't have any time for large plans or anything. I just need to make developments now, right?

Hmmm....Ok, so I will run this for a week with no random events, then see how active people are.

And yeah, Retech, you just need to do developments at the moment, and if you can condense a tech list it would be awesome =P

Ross: http://users.aber.ac.uk/lug9/delta_v/virgoz6.html is Retech's planet.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Okay then, I'll go with my previous option.

I've sorta lost the rules for how to make developments (with regards to housing and roads and stuff). Could you please put that on the front page?

Soon as you like.

Make sure you leave spaces for Roads, try to use less than 256 colours:

Spaceports are 50 pixals by 50 pixals.

Each house is 1 pixal by 1 pixal and can support 10 workers.

Each job is 1 pixal by 1 pixal and will harvest 1 resource.

Garrisons are up to 20 pixals(total) can be any shape.

Laser batteries, shield generators, power generators, fire stations, police stations, farms, and all that jazz, have bigger effects the bigger they are, but require more workers(1 per pixal).

Everything on the planet works as one big city, so if you have 10,000 houses in one development then you can deploy 100,000 people overal.

Fortifications and natural landmarks are seperate.

Any Questions I am usually around.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

You need ten 100*100 pixal images.

These define your ten developments.

Colour code is:

[hide]nbTCh.png[/hide]

What do they do, generally?

Also, don't my people spend most of their time underground, except on the home planet? Does that have any effect on non-homeworld developments?

totalling up to 100,000 developments

*realise I was the only person who did it pixel by pixel*

100,000 developments

pixel by pixel

100,000

pixel by pixel

He's bringing memes ba-ack...

God, I hate songs like that, but I've been playing too much DDR.

Makes sense.

Is there any reason to have more than one spaceport per planet? (Like is there certain limits for each port?) Also, is the resource "sustainability" number on the planet info page of any resource? Like if the number is 10000, can I choose to harvest...ten thousand uranium OR ten thousand kelp, or is there only a certain amount of each thing?

Do farms work like mines for me as the Licht, mainly as harvesting Lichten materials, or is there something else going on with them?

Most buildings just effect any specific random event.

Elsewise:

Garrisons allow you to deploy troops.

Houses give you a population to work with.

Jobs yield resources, which can then be spent.

Spaceports harvest orbital resources.

And not especially.

Also, I need your homeworld.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Each space port harvests orbital resources, so the more you have the more you harvest.

The Sustainability is for any resource.

Generally speaking, Uranium/Kelp/Whatever is just classed as Earthex...for simplicity.

Farms generate food, which makes people happier.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Is there a starting resource that I could gather which doesn't incur the double cost penalty for the Lichtens with "traditional resources?" I thought that was only applicable because I couldn't really trade with other people for some resources without incuring that penalty. Or does Earthex not count?

Okay, final question sbefore I set off to start my developments.

Do we start with free, fully-built developments? What research is necessary to use anti-matter energy safely? Also, is there a formula for psionic power generation?

Yes

Magnetic Shielding or Inertial Dampners or Anti-Gravity

Formula as in?

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

To calculate power output per pixal for psionics.

For example, random formula: 5h x Y

Where h is the number of housing pixals and Y is the race modifier.

----

Oh, and does it matter the pattern I'm making in the developments? Or is it just the number of pixels.

200 Joules per house

Developments should have roads to get around...and if you are invaded, putting your research labs on the outskirts might not be a good idea.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

How about:

Spaceports harvest up to a certain number of orbital resources at a time, like 500

Labs decrease the chance of extended research and increase the chance of accelerated breakthroughs by 0.001% per pixel, but can only effect one project at a time

Farms feed 100 (?) civilians or 50 (?) resident soldiers each with a chance for famine or a bigger crop, without farms food costs are subtracted from your budget

Shield Generators protect (to an extent) a certain number of designated or random pixals on their development, depending on available power

Turrets, depending on power, have a certain chance to shoot down certain ship classes with a limit on how many they can shoot down in one turn

Police Stations would decrease dissent, give a small defense bonus, and increase militia strength

Training increases troop quality and commander intelligence, discipline, and loyalty

Power Plants, depending on their type and prior research, supply a certain amount of power which all or most pixels consume

Fire Departments would decrease all general infrastructure damage (anything that was caused by a random event or untargeted enemy attacks/carpetbombing)

Drone Platforms are used in deploying all unmanned terrestrial vehicles, and drone weapons that are more expensive and effective than Turrets

Airfields are used in deploying all manned terrestrial air vehicles

Churches increase happiness and the chance and effectiveness of non-offensive miracles (major harvests outside the normal chance, enemy weapon malfunctions, etc.)

I would also suggest:

Depots are used in deploying all manned terrestrial ground vehicles

Planet Creighton, Gamma Navis.
