September 12, 201015 yr Alright so I was just at Fry's and picked up a new mouse because my old one sucks. So this mouse is pretty nice, fast sensitivity, wireless, etc. The only thing is, it has a cool feature, if i press and hold the left button, it clicks multiple times, rather quickly. It only stops clicking when i let go, basically a built in autoclicker. I tried alching with it and it was way,way too easy but here comes the problem. What are the odds of getting banned for using this? Technically its part of the hardware, but I don't think Jagex will really care about that. Im kinda straying away from using it too much for now.

September 12, 201015 yr Author The same way they detect autoclickers im thinking, its fast, consistent clicking. But im not 100% sure.

The hardware has the capacity, but the software makes it possible. Technically, it would be considered using third-party software to gain an unfair advantage, as you are getting more actions per click than you would with any other mouse. Truthfully, though, don't brag about it in game chat, don't post a guide on the RSOF on how to use it, and don't do anything stupid with it (cleaning inventories of herbs in seconds for long perionds of time), and you should be fine.
September 12, 201015 yr Don't do anything with it that you couldn't do without it just as easily. Disabling it would be the safest option. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
September 12, 201015 yr Author Yeah, thats the problem though. There isn't an option to disable, and after a few hours of using it, it gets really annoying at times. Theres nothing about it online, so does anyone know how to slow this thing down?
September 12, 201015 yr You could always ask on RSOF and hope a Jmod gets back to you. If you do get banned then you will have something to point to, otherwise your ban appeal will be denied after a Jmod does a quick (2-3 seconds) scan through of your sob story. The problem with this approach is that you'll never get a response! This is a pretty unclear situation. The way I see it, as long as you are holding it down yourself then you are still initiating an action and should not be penalized for a feature that cannot be turned off. Tough to say how others will view it. 2496 Completionist
September 12, 201015 yr Too bad Jamflax has awful customer support or you could just ask. I piety the fool.
September 12, 201015 yr Author Too bad Jamflax has awful customer support or you could just ask. Thats true, they never really answer ur questions :SIll try the RSOF in hopes of a nice Jmod answering me though.
September 12, 201015 yr Send a direct message to a Jmod asking, don't use it, or use it very sparingly. Autoclickers aren't typically grounds for a permaban.

September 12, 201015 yr One click, one action. No way this is allowed, and it's certainly detectable, as stated earlier. Interactive dungeoneering floor mapper
September 12, 201015 yr As has been stated the rule is one click, one action so what your mouse does isn't allowed and would probably get you banned for macroing or whatever else it falls under. So yea, if you don't know how to disable it you're probably safer using another mouse :P "Unfortunately, the real world isn't the same as a fairy tale."
September 12, 201015 yr Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. Don't abuse the [cabbage] out of it, but use it nonetheless, 'cause the very worst that can happen is you get a slap on the wrist. Even if you use it to clean herbs, you can already get a very similar result by just spamming your 5 key. If I had that mouse, I'd definitely utilize it. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

As for contacting Jagex, if nothing really helps works, post on forum help.Officially that's not really allowed, but it's tollerated and might be the easiest way to get you your answer. September 12, 201015 yr Author Thanks for the replies.Well i posted on the forums and a nice FMod got back to me, telling me that that 1 click should equal one action. Well I was sorta expecting that but whatever, Ill deal with it.And it could be somewhat helpful in emergency situtations where I need to gulp down a couple of brews in record time I guess XD. Ill stray away from using it, but If anyone has dealt with this before and knows how to stop this thing, please tell me.
September 12, 201015 yr If you're thinking to disable the feature, either Google the instructions on how to turn off the feature for your mouse's brand, or return it and buy a new one. Interesting query, I must say, though. ^ Blog.
September 12, 201015 yr Author Ive searched and didn't really find anything. Its a "HP Wireless Optical Mobile Mouse" btw, if anyone knows how to fix this thing, please share.
September 12, 201015 yr Have you tried going to the control panel and opening mouse options? Look around in it.
September 13, 201015 yr Wow This is one of the few tech problems that I couldn't find an answer either; I would first try to update the mouse driver, if that does not fix then see if you can return the mouse. Last ditch effort; http://www.pupuweb.com/blog/optical-mouse-single-click-problem-solved/I havn't personally used it, but it may work; use at own risk, yeah yeah. Goodluck
September 13, 201015 yr i used a super turbo setting on an xbox 360 controller for like 50 clicks per second on my noob account and it auto logged me rofl. so yes yoou'll get caught. Lmao. The program is running in the background but nothing is different I found this one review about this mouse and apparantly this is either a problem spread to every mouse like mine, or its just a feature that cannot be turned off. A very odd feature if you ask me.
September 13, 201015 yr Why does this seem like it could be plot for a low budget horror film? On topic: it seems like your last resort is just get rid of the thing :/
September 13, 201015 yr Oh that prog must only suck up one extra click, well I hope you can live with the 'feature'
