The colony of Oneida had started prosperous: it's people spoke good, proper english, and god feared like no other. Yet it all went wrong in the year of 1624; an irrational bad harvest, which went from bad to worse when the water supply was poisoned, resulted in all of the population being wiped out.

Yet it was not all bad: The population of Mohawk and Pocumtuk knew how to farm. They prepared well for the harvest, having an overflow from the previous years, and when the king came calling, they had grain to spare. This was in part due to the superb skills of Mayor John Grayner. His skills and administration made the province of Mohawk into an economic stronghold.

Bonus: Mohawk grants an extra 100k to your budget.

New budget: 14,100,000

Isn't his budget 14.1 million?

This would be easier if I knew what the provinces were called.

So, If you have a capital bordering another country you can deploy troops directly into that country?

No; but you can deploy in your capital and march them in in the same turn.

Mark the province on MS paint bro - for the record, I'm getting province names from EU3, but I don't expect you to access that so it's no big deal; just paint them

If you want, and you provide me with a map with province names, you can name all the provinces in your empire.

100k each

Your map is wrong:

It doesn't take into account France's new province; and you've incorrectly remapped a province as a lake (which is my fault, I think, on one of my maps that province is a light shade of blue from where I thought it was a French colony, but wasn't, but didn't properly remove the French stain from it's colour!)

So I propose that map; which follows the same border principles, but is correct.

I'm going to establish four colonies, leaving me with a treasury of zero.

Pink means colony, just in case anyone is a little slow :P

A frigate and a sloop are stationed at the mainland colonies, just to be secure. I guess the sloop also carries people to the mainland.

I colonize the four provinces I have two borders with, at a cost of 6,000,000.

Project Actaeon begins. That would be the topic of our discussion, Dungeonal.

France sends an emissary to its southern neighbor, asking how they propose to maintain friendly relations in such close quarters and inquiring about terms for an alliance. I specifically request that they trade me their colony in the province formerly mistaken for a lake in exchange for my existing Southeastern-most colony (the budget for which I'd keep until the next reset) so as to allow me a direct line into the mainland. :)

I also purchase four generals and 600 elite riflemen.

Spain requests that Mr. Lime Green goes and colonizes northwards instead.

True, but if we're stretching, then I can't take advantage of my closeness modifier.

I had already planned out how I was going to be colonizing those provinces. Since you're the naval power, wouldn't it be easier for you to plop down colonies all the way in down further in South America?

I don't want to isolate my regions though. I'll leave enough space that you can still move around and use the closeness modifier, but I'd rather colonise those regions since they're close to my islands, and makes for easy passage to the mainland.

Wheras if I make colonies down in the middle of nowhere, the flow of goods and military would take years to pass through 10+ regions to get to wherever I need to be.

It would depend on how Dungeonal is planning on naval transport, since it doesn't seem to be that there are ocean provinces.

This game has always been first come first serve.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

This game has always been first come first kill.

Fix'd.

Anywho, you guys can always fight over those provinces.

After all, seems like we won't be having any actual NPCs in this.

You have 3 provinces with 2 borders; and one with 3. Which doesn't get the modifier. So it'd be 7.5, is that all right?

Also.. it doesn't matter if it begins or not. The only thing that progresses research is money.

Generals:

1) Infantry modifier

2) Cavalry modifier

3) Artillery commander

4) Admiral

Just sayin'

Anyway, I buy a further 1000 Musketmen, 5 generals, and 1000 European cavalry, costing 4 million.

100% after 5 days, but you don't get additional budget until next reset (12th) (so I automatically called everyones colonies left over and added them to the map which is updated on the homepage)

Icu:

1. Inf commander

2. Cav commander

3. Fights in the wet

4. Fights in the open

5. Admiral
