I remember when people would trade a Phat set for a whip. Same thing a year ago.. a Phat was basically worth an Elysian Shield.

 

Those were the days....

Attitudes definitely changed when Achievement Capes came out. No doubt about it. I remember a time when Legends and Obsidian capes were respectable combat gear, and the only way to check if someone was bs'ing about being level 99 was to check the hiscores.

 

I'm trying to find out what the first update after I joined was.. anyone know of a list of game updates by chronological order?

Who remembers when people would stop whining and getting caught up in nostalgia every so often to actually play the game? Runescape was a much happier place when the players weren't complaining about how the game is ruined every week. Let's not forget the classic; mining in East Varrock, hauling ass down to lumbridge to smelt ores, going back to varrock to smith it, then selling it to the armour shops, all without banking whatsoever. Or handbaking bread for cooking exp.

 

I did this variation. Falador mine, the LONG WAY (monks dirt path) to Falador to smelt, then to Doric's stupid anvil to smith, then Back to Falador to sell bronze chains to the Gen store. Gooood times haha. ;)

I remember i used to buy big bones for ~200 gp each and resell in bulk for 300-400 gp each.

It was like 1 mil gp/hour, which was really good back in the day.

 

GE made bulk merchanting outdated though.

- Being scammed rune set because I was told it could be trimmed

- Drop parties in the wilderness.... Hehe

I didn't read the whole thread, but there may be some people who fit my criteria on here. I'm mostly talking about how RSOF is flooded with complaints every week, and so many people in game sitting around the GE crying about the good ol days.

Paying 2m for a D Med

Free gem cutting!

Hiring ore runners!

Glories at 80k.

Whips at 1.4m stable.

Rune boots at 200k.

Fletching making money.

Party room in Seers.

When bosses like the KQ and KBD were hard.

-When the dual arena was crowded reguardless of what p2p world you were in.

-When anyone with Ice Barrage was god.

-Getting pked for trying to buy water runes from the zammy wizard north of edgevill to sell to someone in the edgevill bank.

-Drop trading between accounts.

 

Edit:

-When people traded cow hides in Al Kharid.

-Tortise Shells were 500k-1m each.

-Getting attacked by the jail guards on my way to draynor.
