That's not what i'm saying, random events were originally created to deter people from autoing, contrary to popular belief they weren't just put there to take people's hard earned cash. Like with sleeping bags, apparently they were supposed to add more realism to the game and randoms are thought to be a fun addition by jagex, in fact there are more of these available to members, including the strange plant - how hilarious, i think u'd agree :roll:

if you actually play, then no, they dont kill you. however, if you leave your character standing somewhere, and go drink a cup of tea, then they can kill you.

dang man... this board helped me a lot... I'm never going to train with my green h mask and never typing stuff like MSN on Runescape...

I once lost a Green mask and about 2 mill cash some months ago because soembody kept closing the door at the chicken respawn, but you loss your stuff of a project of Jagex to stop Hackers.

I was lucky, I was wearing full zammy, with my red phat on trying to sell my red h'ween mask (I like red...) I figured if I watch some tv it'll pass the time more quickly and maybe a buyer would come by. I would watch tv, then check my RS character constantly, once a commercial came on I decided to go grab a bite to eat, walking back I remembered my character was still logged in. I quickly opened the window to see an evil chicken attacking me. I put on "run" and clicked a distant area, I checked my hp which were at 7. Then I saw one last magical blast coming up behind me, hitting a weak, but at the same dangerous amount of 4. I was lucky that was the last attack. I quickly ran to the bank and grabbed a few swordies to heal myself. My heart was beating like crazy at that moment. I remember it everytime I am merchanting rares. I now also play in high definition so I can hear the attack sounds and log out when I leave my computer. It is smart to take precautions. :shock:

wow, same thing happened to R S Master last year and he lost 420m...i guess its just bad luck.

Well Lord_Muijs i don't drink tea, quite frankly it tastes like coffee to me, which is also horrible, i just wanted to chat with a few mates. :cry:

Another good thing to do is to only bring along 3 non-stackable items (holiday items should be included in these 3) and only a fraction of your money. It doesn't matter if you bring runes to sell or money to buy, since they aren't stackable and will be dropped anyways if you die. Take off your boots, capes, rings etc...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We should maybe tell Runescape to increase the shop selling price of holiday items so they are worth 100k instead or something, but I guess they can't be arsed to do so...

also, i wanna moan at the rs sayin "youve already reported somebody in the last 60mins, donnt abuse the system" that really bugfs me, as there are sometimes like 50 macroers in one place, and why would i wanna report everyone i feel like, thats just as low as the cheaters

hello jon, i am verrrrry sorry to hear about your loss... we have all been there, i have many times, its hard for me to keep my eyes on the screen while fishing, and sometimes i am on other sites while i fish, at least im not autoing, i take the time to sit there adn fish, and sometiems other things happen, i completely understand how you feel.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

anyways i felt the need to reply, i alllllways report autotypers, i go into varrock and fally quite often and i just report people, but of course jagex never takes a look at any of this, they will never do anything about it...

Anyone could say i lost this and that,jagex will not give you the items back.

Yes, i'm legit, which of course is why it makes it all the more annoying that a random event killed me. An autotyper probably picked it up :roll:

well your not gonna get it back they cant give you items, and you shouldnt be going afk for any ammount of time...next time turn on your volume so you hear if your attacked

Anyways one time I was trying to sell off my 20k steel bars. I also had all the money I had, about 4 million on me, and my best armor. I was checking the market forums for buyers and when I cam back, a dwarf was hitting me with rocks and I only had 20 hp left. That was a scary event.
