Ok, I'll break this down for you. This thread is for people to say it would be nice to get something. You don't go aroudn telling people why they can't have something, because, especially around TIF, people will go off on you for being an [wagon].

f2p should get a lv 100ish monster...the highest is like 86 :lol:

 

Not counting Revs, the highest F2P monster is still, the original, Greater Demon (92) who is placed, appropriately, at the very top of F2P Wildy.

 

 

 

Other than that, there's a choice of 5 different 70+ monsters - Lessers, Soldiers, Ghosts, Ankous, Skeleton, of which only two drop rune items, one of which is multi-combat and the other is stuck on a island (Bar two, one locked away, the other in a maze).

 

 

 

...which leads me to my first point...

 

Why doesn't Musa Point have a range?! I can understand not having a bank but no range, means for anyone to want's to camp and train, we have to lose an extra 2/3 spaces to carry an axe & tinderbox, thus reducing the amount we can train before returning for food and collecting drops. Argh!

 

 

 

Secondly, I agree with the point that when transferring back to F2P from P2P we are left with either dumping members gear that we acquired or have to use a 20 space bank till we rejoin members.

 

 

 

Surely there is no loss in simply allowing us to sell our items on the G.E?

 

Create an storage note which can returned upon activation. Thus we can't lose the items (Unless we're stupid enough to lose the note) and we have 67 spaces for which we can use.

 

Another possibility is to allow players with members house to teleport to the confines of the house and use the storage departments there (You could go as far as creating an separate personal safe/bank, that stores upto 25/50 items and place that in the house.)

 

Or finally, just offer us the market (not highest or street) value for the combined total of our items. So instead of having 50 spaces, we have 50k or w/e.

 

 

 

Thirdly (Although not F2P related) why have Rune drops from the only two non-wildy monsters almost tenfolded in rarity? I've been training on Cockroach Soldiers (Who supposedly drop both Rune Scim & Sqre) since Friday and not yet had a single rune drop! It took roughly two dozen trips at MP for a Rune Med!

 

 

 

PS. Oh and why has Mithril ore plummeted in value? PLO says 400-500 but I'm barely getting 250!

The only reason F2P don't get updates is because they don't pay. There's no reason arguing about it or trying to deny it or suggest that Jagex need to think up more reasons why not to update F2P more often. F2P has received a lot more updates than they usually get recently, including minigames which until recently were P2P only. If you don't like not receiving updates every two weeks you have two choices, 1, Become P2P, 2, Quit. What else do you want anyone to say?

Yes, we KNOW why we don't get updates. This thread isn't sitting here to discuss WHY we don't get them. CLEARLY if we wanted to get updates, we'd do what you suggest and QUIT (I mean pay :P ).

 

We're not arguing that we SHOULD get updates, we're simply ranting about why we did not get certain items/updates that would be particularly beneficial to us.

I was a paying member until around christmas time last year, forgot to renew my subscription and so lost my membership...

 

 

 

Problems I had!

 

- I logged back in to discover that i couldnt add anything to my bank that i had left in my inventory.

 

- If i bought anything off the grand exchange it was noted, so i couldnt un-note it using my bank obviously as my bank was out of action...

 

- All my member's items held my bank value meaning if i couldnt become a member again i was screwed.

 

 

 

 

 

Obviously if i had planned to become a free player I would have sorted this lot before it happened.

 

 

 

I'd like to see an update to help users with the same problem i encountered, maybe allow them to sell off their member items if they become free players. Oh and.. let them equip their capes they have achieved (this doesnt mean let free players buy capes of achievement).

I had this same problem, however I had planned... I just cut yews during my episode as a nonmember.

 

It turns out, though, that if you right click the items in the Exchange, you can select to withdraw them unnoted.

 

Shame I didn't remember that until just recently.

um things i guess f2p players should have are skill capes sure why not umm maybe ability to play in my eyes fun games like castle wars maybe penguins. f2p should not have a limit on how many friends u can have added. and finally f2p should have ability to post on RSOF!!! its essentially pay to voice your opinion which i think isnt right at all forums are for everyone not just the select few who go the extra mile to obtain it.

I'd personally say Skillcapes and Snare. Skillcapes resemble the skills you so painfully earned (to a degree) and all F2P have to show for it is "Look me in High Scores", For members its the Skillcape. I mean its not going to kill P2P for non-members to have Skill Capes, they earned it just as much as P2P have. and snares kinda obvious, Bind does [cabbage] all. -.-

However I beleive we have enough bankspace now its just that you have to be sensible with what you store. Having a place to store our random event clothing would help too.

There are been solutions to this problem posted on this board way too many times. Also, try looking at the RSOF, the P2P players have screwed it up enough themselves. Adding all of the F2P world probably wouldn't help.

 

 

 

I agree with you the forums won't be opened up to all F2P players simply because of lack of server space. If the requirements on F2P were to have over 1k total level, over 50 hours of playing time, under 2 blackmarks, but they blackmarks have to be x years old, y years of playing time and maybe a system for granting forum privileges similar to player moderator nominations.

 

 

 

If the responsible F2P players are screened and allowed to use the forums, perhaps the overall quality could help rather than just paying $5 for a membership which isn't much of a screen.
