January 22, 201115 yr so im 80 slayer, and i see some guides that use guthans on some slayer tasks. is it worth it instead of food, and on what tasks would it be useful?

January 23, 201115 yr With the introduction of bunyips, and variations of the Excalibur, guthans is very out dated. Only use if you dont have either 68 summoning and or Enhanced excalibur.

January 23, 201115 yr Guthans (and any barrows armor...really) is only useful if the task makes more gp than the decay rate. Sure, you can use it, but nowadays, with so many easy tasks/easier armors/1 inv space healers, you're better off just saving it for questing...

'o.O None. This kid has been trolling and giving bad advice over the past few days. And ALL tasks make 250k over the course of 15 hours. Do not listen to him. I think he hasn't played in a few years.

If you want to bounce idea's we have a general discussion section in these forums... We aren't being mean, we're just telling people not to follow your advice because it's not good. Spend some time researching the best ways to do things so that the advice you have to give is a little more useful. On topic, sell guthans now if you haven't. January 23, 201115 yr Just buy a high defense Armour and use eee / bunyip to heal. January 23, 201115 yr Hell no, Guthan's isn't needed for slayer. Just a bunyip should suffice, or bring along an enhanced excalibur too, and you shouldn't have much problems with managing your health. You could always bring a few fish along if you need even more healing. Guthan's is outdated, there are much better ways to heal nowadays. January 23, 201115 yr Pre bunyip, ee and soul split, it's nice to have,However, for most slayer tasks, I'm pretty sure taking a few B2P tabs would overall be more efficient then switching your helm and spear (getting slower kills when you do this, + the extra degrading costs, while small, it is still there) I used to slay with guthans until I got a bunyip way back, then I never needed it. January 23, 201115 yr The only task I ever use guthans on is Nechs, this can usually be avoided by using a more defensive setup however, and that's the reason while I currently don't have guthans.
