I was a fan in the late 90s when tag teams like the dudley boys, hardys and edge + christian were big. Add in the rock, Triple H and stone cold all going for the WWF championship, it was a great time for it.

It did actually decline when the Rock's character went bad, basically for the past 8-9 years. He's always been a crowd pleaser.

I was so into WWF until the killed the Undertaker. then he came back to life or smoe shizz and I couldn't get back into it.

Kain [Cane?] will forever be my favorite though.

EDIT: omg I lol'd so hard at the most illegal use of hypnosis. What the hell was that?

The past few years haven't been that good, mainly because all the 'good' talent in wwe has either fled to tna, retired, or died (in the case of umaga). Their entire 'kid-friendly' attitude is what killed my interest though. I mean c'mon, how are you supposed to take steve austin's character seriously when he can't give the finger. Wwe used to be a good, unique form of entertainment. But now, with mma/tna giving the audience less bullsh't, it is pretty useless...

Cena was reffing a match between two talentless guys that passes for a wrestler in the WWE, and they both said a swear or something so he DQ'ed them for swearing and said: " THIS IS A PG SHOW". That pretty much sums up what's wrong with the WWE

They keep passing off cheese as quality entertainment, which is pretty problematic. It'd be like me hyping about a brand new titanic-like movie, and rather than showing one, instead present a disney movie. If they want wwe to be good again, then they gotta pg it up a bit. Get divas to show a bit more off, and/or lift the 'playboy ban' that they have on them. As for the wrestlers, I'd reaaaallly enjoy seeing another extreme rules/tlc match. At least a match that isn't 'guy punches guy, guy performs finisher on guy, guy pins for win'.

Wwe these days is the same recycled story lines. Vince has "died" like 10 times, the main heel always comes out on top after the main event, nothings new.

Also...how is hypnosis illegal? It was pretty funny though.

Eh, times change, so do styles. That's as much true for wrestling as it is for music, television, and anything else. If you still want to watch wrestling but don't feel like watching modern WWE, a good alternative would be smaller companies like Ring of Honor.

I remember when I was young, I went to a WWF event. My uncle made me hold a sign that read "SABLE FEARS DIRK DIGGLER"

I was really into wresting in the early 2000's, I was 11/12 and my first taste of wresting was seeing the Undertaker be 'killed', then, months later, I stayed up till 5am in the morning to watch WrestleMania 20 and see him come back to life :P I was in to it then but I just grew out of it.

Stone Cold was on last night, pretty unremarkable. Came to the ring, stunnered JBL (who also came back for the night), drank beer, said something, then poured beer on michael cole.

Austin is looking more fit than he ever did when wrestling though, damn shame he can't come back

Yeah I started watching it again when The Rock came back, I think it's pretty entertaining for being "PG". I've been watching some old PPV's of WWF from 2001.. Damn it was entertaining back then. So far the main story-lines have been between The Rock, Kurt Angle, Austin, and Triple H.. Not a bad year so far lol.

When did they come back? Was it a one time thing or is it on-going?

Rock's been on a couple times in the past few weeks, he only talks though, doesn't actually wrestle. Lately they've really been ramping up the gimmick appearances + bringing back old wrestlers for one night. Austin was on last week, Grandmaster Sexay and Trish Stratus and JR this week, etc. Just shows how desperate they're getting for views. Rocks going to be special reffing a match at Wrestlemania or something and I think Trish Stratus is actually going to be in a match at WM (but she's partnered with that Mercury guy and SNOOKI FROM JERSEY SHORE. god damn).

Rocks trying awfully hard to say he didn't abandon the WWE/he loves the business/stupid [cabbage] like that. Not really the fun Rock

When actually is Wrestlemania?

I believe it's April 3.

What luck, it's the week I'm home from Uni, meaning I can Sky+ it and actually watch it.

I actually find it kinda funny that they're bringing back older wrestlers...I guess they truly are running out of quality talent. It'd be a shame if they died off though, seeing as tna isn't as 'educational' as wwe....that and tna wrestling is 3 trannies off of being jerry springer.

That'll cost you £15, stream it. ;)

I have the sky sports channels, is it not on them?

And the action will be coming your way live on Sunday April 3 at midnight (Monday morning) only on Sky Box Office and Sky Box Office HD.

Pulled that from skysports.com, It's a $54.99 pay per view here in the states, so I assume it costs quite a bit whatever country you're from.
