February 25, 201115 yr Hopefully, they'll do it very well.They need to look at what Treyarch has done with black ops - both the good and the bad - and capitalise on it. If this is IW that eventually makes it, they took a gigantic leap from COD5 to 6, they need to do that again. IMO though, black ops is too like battlefield in that it is more of a simulator than a game. They need to do it well or the COD franchise will just die even more. I've got high hopes for this game - so long as the dev's aren't stupid in the way they make it. Knowing game dev's in general though, they will. Just saying the only way this game is going to go anywhere is if they make the kind of leap like CoD3 to CoD4 was. They need to change the series. February 26, 201115 yr CoD as a series needs to just die off. They've shafted the PC players so badly it's painful, when they shouldn't be doing that in the first place. When a game forces it so dedicated servers has to be on it's fact sheet instead of being assumed like any other good multiplayer FPS, you know something is wrong. I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal. OPEN WIDE HERE COMES THE HELICOPTER.

The only change I can see them doing is setting it in the future, doing basically what Battlefield did. But I would agree with you, the series is very much running it's course, I think we can only wait and hope for the next best thing to come sooner then later.
