I believe that America still owns the rights to the f-35 fighters. Therefore nobody since us should have them, seeing as I posted earlier that all military contracts with foreign nations are cancelled.

Spain:

Spain has grown significantly in World standing(+5 World Presence) for being the first country to take action against Argentina, which was not directly involved in their activities. Britian and France have come out in support of Spain, along with Canada, India and Russia, all of which have condemned the return of Slavery as Evil and Barbarous.(+2 Moral Standing). A joint task force has been proposed to deal with the Argentinan Problem, to be based in Portugal until such time as they are ready to launch. Although the Anglo-French Navy is already patrolling the coast of Argentina from the British bases on the Falkland Islands.

 

There has been strong pressure on Germany and Italy to join the coalition, while America is being snubbed for its recent act of barbarism.

 

South Africa/United States of Africa:

South Africa called a Congress of Africa earlier this year, seeking an resolution to the Argentinian Problem. This grew into a movement for the establishment of the United States of Africa, modelled vaguely on the Original American system of strong State Control, and a weak Federal Government. South Africa has been named as President for the next (till the end of the reset) two years.

However, the new United States is highly unstable, with a very high risk of collapse. It will be South Africa's job to steer through the heady storms and reach a compromise everyone can agree upon.

 

Indonesia:

Indonesia has, again, armed itself ready for war.

 

Argentina:

Australia has continued Bombing Argentinan Oil Fields in the Antarctic. Argentina aircraft fought off many of the bombers, leaving only a handful to get through.

 

Argentina also amassed a major assault force to attack Australia, however the British-French Navy intercepted, and after a minor skirmish, the Argentinians withdrew.

 

Switzerland:

Switzerland has set about reassuring the world that they made an honest mistake, and did not mean to mislead anyone in the Argentinian Deception. While many are not interested in their excuses, their payments to Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone have helped ease some tensions. There has also been some talk of them joining the Coaltion, though nothing has come of that yet.

 

America:

America has launched a massive strike force North into Canada. The Canadians were taken completely by suprise, as indeed was the rest of the world. The attack drove into major cities, capturing them without much fighting, however this left the supply lines open to attack and sappers, which has crippled their ability to make war.

The Canadian Government has fled to Germany, where it is continuing the war, and trying to rouse a responce from the rest of the world. They had initially tried Brazil, but they had been unwilling to accept them.

In Canada proper the Police and army have engaged the Americans, and heavy casualties have been taken on both sides, as Citizens in Canada fight the American Army.

Casualities:

America: 75,000, 40 Fighters, 3 Bombers, 200 Tanks

Canada: 54,000 Soliders, 35,000 Civilians, 56 Fighters, 120 Tanks.

Brazil reminds the coalition that it will not accept foreign annexations of South American soil.

Spain offers Canadian citizens refuge, and condemns the United States unprovoked aggression, though cannot provide military assistance at this time. We do however send several transport ships, with escort, to areas where the Americans have yet to reach, in order to evacuate those unwilling or unable to fight. We send word to the United States beforehand, and ensure them that this is merely a humanitarian effort, in order to reduce loss of life.

Same map, sending troops into an area doesn't make it any more yours, than spitting on a pie makes it yours.

Welcome to the real world. I'm being about as realistic as I can be compared to most people. The United States has a budget 10x mine. Not terribly much I can do.

Well Canada is part of the commonwealth, so they should be doing something about it :P

I just don't really have the resources to defend another country that I've had no relations with, that is being attacked by a country with an IAD of 700m. Helping the Canadian people survive is the best I can do.

What are they doing? Shooting .22s and throwing hockey pucks at us? I doubt more than 1 in 10 Canadians have a gun, and less in the cities probably.

 

Anyway, America gives Canadians 3 options.

 

1) They may come to one of the makeshift embassies set up in major cities, and request to leave the country. They will be compensated for their land, and are free to go to any country that will take them

2) They may leave to move to an American state of their choice. They will have the option of selling their land to the government, or returning when the war is over.

3) They may continue to live in Canada, where they will be provided security by American soldiers.

 

The Canadians are told once they are integrated into America, they will be made into special states, with the option of continuing their old form of government and having the same laws as before.

Germany will not accept America's full annexation of Canada.

 

They have been warned !

About 1 in ten, and each has an average of about 3 guns, and they'd probably arm their neighbors and other resistance members. The military has over 100,000 members as well. Also, by declaring war on Canada you declared war on the UK, Australia, etc pretty much.

It's more of a loose governing body and conflict resolution center than anything else.

If the USA waited till 2072 to annex canada, that'd be cool. Purely for the sake of the fallout 3 reference.

Welcome, I would advise at least skimming through the topic for examples of play and how things pan out; I would also advise writing up a quick back story for how you (or if you are using a president/prime minister/emperor/despot) came to power in your country. You will find the rules for research and recruiting troops on the first post as well. You will want to keep a budget in a document or a private message to the Games Master (hereby known as the acronym the "GM") detailing spending, research totals, etc.
