knives669
lets not forget that being drunk can make you do stupid things when you're with friends - stupid, but hilarious :) so it makes for good times! We don't need the alcohol for that ;) I GET HIGH ON SUGAR AND CAFFEINE FROM SODA :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D *FINISHES GLASS OF COKE!* :D

wl_daniel
I hear it all the time in school, and on nexopia. "Man, i got so wasted yesterday! Hahah i have the biggest hangover(sp) ever!" "OMG I know it was sooooo sweet!" It just bugs me when people say that, when really they've probably only had 1 drink and say there drunk. Whats the big deal or whats so cool about getting drunk? Today i was at safeway looking for a magazine and these guys walk past me "Oh ya, i was in the hot tub, getting drunk with these girls hahaha" "Oh man awesome!" Maybe its just the word drunk that bugs me, if they said i was out drinking it might not bug me as much, but i dont know. It just bugs me when people talk like that and think their so cool for getting drunk. getting drunk with girls in a hot tub sounds pretty fun to me :P . when you are younger, it may seem like everyone thinks its cool to be totaly wasted and have a hangover, but when you are older its all about the time that you feel at your best, not drunk, but definently feeling good :D . but dont listen to me about this, ive never really drank before. The thing about getting drunk is... now adays the term drunk has changed. Now if you are just simply buzzed... you're classified as drunk. Back in the day... drunk was when you were so wasted that you didn't remember a damn thing you did the night before and had one hell of a headache (hangover) in the morning. Well here it's still when you remember nothing and you're totally wasted that you're drunk not if you're uhm..tipsy :? ,why should it change :? Mercifull
It annoys me all the little kids drinking, bragging and only doing it because its "cool" but then i used to do the same when i was young, the only problem these days is they take ti too far and end up being a public nuisance. The only problems i cause when im drunk is people cant understand a word im saying if i come on irc afterwards :P *see Tsai's sig* Getting "wasted" is rubbish, its expensive, makes you feel rough the next day and basically ruins the whole night. You have to know your limits and as you get older you will find that out so you can go out and have an amazing night and still feel great after a shower the next morning :P Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. adthegreat-
Okay I'm going out tonight (New Years) and I'm going to drink. I'm naturally quite a shy person, and I think that on an evening like this it will make it more fun. Now, I'm not going to sleep with a random girl, I'm not going to vandalise the neighbor's lawn, and I'm not going to end up in hospital. I don't see the harm in this sort of behaviour, but the way you lot talk about it, to touch a drop of drink is hellish and immature. Me and my friends don't drink because we're cool, we don't do it for a hangover, we do it to have more fun. But we also go out to meals and other more formal events where we don't drink and also have fun. In other words, we don't need to drink to have fun. Do users like Insane (doesn't drink at all) see this as a bad thing. I'm not starting a flame war, I'm asking for people for whom i have respect for's opinion. :)
Bubsa
Doesn't America have a word for these bragger-esque people? Like Frat boys? Yeah...I hate frat boys. But other drinkers (of which I feel I am) can appreciate its effect responsibly without the need to end up, or put someone else, in hospital. I've read so much stereotyping in the last 2 pages it's pathetic. Do you know how you people sound? Fascists, that's how. Not everyone who drinks gets drunk, paraletic, suicidal, aggressive, depressive etc. I drink not to get drunk/wasted, however you want to call it. And yes I can socialise without having to get drunk. I just, heaven forbid, like it's effective and, even more suprisingly, it's taste! By all means, ridicule those who drink and brag about how 'wasted' they get, because they're 'wasting' their lives. But not all drinkers are like this. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
NeverSurrender
Dunno if anyone has tapped on the situation of females/males doing the "One drink and I am drunk" routine. In past situations with this, females/males would do that in order to use the line "Baby, I was drunk - I had NO control!" To me, getting drunk isn't that big of a deal. If I get drunk, "Yay." - if not, that is O.K with me. I normally just drink with friends and play games while doing it.
Faux
I'd prolly drink but in moderate amounts. It relieves stress and I know I'll be stress out a lot of times :( :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

In past situations with this, females/males would do that in order to use the line "Baby, I was drunk - I had NO control!" Even if they are drunk, I don't see why that's an excuse for anything they do afterwards anyway. Drunk or not, if someone does something stupid, it's still stupid. I don't like how stupid people are allowed to get away with it by pleading inebriation, when they should be ridiculed to the full extent of their stupidity. Chris
The challenge in drinking isn't to get drunk. Anyone can do that. As shown from an old log from #DW one night. <02:35:24> pdul am afria\e dam esremtly drinom <02:35:28> aye phikl yo have to come fur a dirnkn somtims <02:35:30> i can t see <02:35:45> you're blind? <02:35:48> ypui <02:35:55> my etyes aren to0wotkomf <02:35:58> working <02:36:00> ((( <02:36:05> am sensin kiek 15 diffrnrnt scrnneens <02:36:07> rofl <02:36:23> am ipssided]# <02:36:28> m, eoto <02:36:33> didn't think it was possible for anyone to spell everything you write wrong <02:36:38> even for drunkards The challenge is to drink as much as you can handle, have a good time and preferably not puke or make a complete twit of yourself. Easiest way of doing so is to find a drink that you can drink all night and not get wasted on. I tried Beer, wine, shots and vodka. The only one that can keep me pretty well sober is vodka. Drinking it with Red Bull is the best option as it keeps you awake aswell. When you're feeling tired you get drunk faster. Having a good meal before drinking is said to be "chickening out" but that also helps keep you sober longer. Why do people drink? Depends on the person. Some people do it to get drunk and make a twit of themselves. Some people do it to get drunk, to start fights. Some people do it to get drunk and pick up women. (Usually less attractive than their normal standard...) Some people do it to socialise, in Scotland and England at least it's a major socialising event. You go to the pub to talk with friends etc. Some people do it as a challenge not to get drunk. I'm the last and second last of those options. :) Notoriously Trollish. For reading week (the week before finals when you have nothing to do, supposedly so that you can study) they went out on Monday and bought $300 worth of alcohol to last them the week. They finished it. But neither my roommate nor I drink, and we're like ALWAYS together, so it's all good :D Everybody hug and spread the love :D
How2PK
There's no big deal about it. But I think it can make your evening better, I think. When you have a normal night out with your mates it's fun, but when you all had a few beers and you get a bit loser it's even more fun. And when somebody drank too much and starts to do 'funny' (not annoying) weird things that's just funny. I drink because I like the taste of a beer, to 'losen up' and it can make a great night greater, that I feel bad the next morning is something that I have take, but I don't really mind that; I'll have an asperine (that morning of course!) and everything is fixed. Evilperson
. . . . I dislike people that drink for fun. I think I'm stupid or something, but what other reason would they drink? As a necessity? "The camera fades in . . ." Doctor: I'm sorry Bethany, your husband recieved a horrible blow to his chest. . .He is in a lot of pain right now. Bethany: Oh no! What can you do Doctor?! Please save him! Doctor: Well, what I can do is give him three beers now and let him sleep on that. When he goes home tomorrow I want you to make sure he has atleast 3 shots with each meal! Bethany: For how long. . .? Doctor: "Silent" . . .For the rest of his life "Bethany colapses to the ground crying" Ahh yes I can see it now. . .I'll be sure to recieve grammy's for that, or whatever bloody stupid awards there are for movies. Ape
yea people who go out just to get drunk and then brag about it for the next two weeks are annoying as hell. i drink with mates but we dont even get worked up about it anymore, its like "meh mayaswell get wasted" "mmmkay" and then stay up all night watching movies and playing ps2/xbox. its agitating when people act like drinking is all that matters to them, especially when they hardly drink :| maturity > knobbers Haha, that's what me and my mates do. X-Box all-nighters, though. Even though I'm a little younger than you are, we still have a good drink. But I totally agree about the bragging part. -Mitch- New sig to come!
