I'll drink a bit if I'm feeling really tense or if I can't stand the music that's being played, but that's about it. She even told her parents she drank and they punished her but she still does. Can someone help me with this situation. She just doesn't understand how bad drinking is. Countless plagues have been stopped when people began drinking a wine/water mixture instead of just water strait from a river (alcohol is essentially instant death for bacteria/viruses) Nearly all of Ancient Greece drank this 'wine' for all of there liquid consumption. In diluted amounts alcohol is a great thing. As the joys for getting drunk? Tip.it (a forum devoted to online gaming) doesn't have the amount of the the 'right' sort of people to fully answer that. Personally I loathe people getting "wasted" I love an occasional drink as much as the next guy but I get so when I see these totally hot chicks walking back to their dorm with some ugly fat putz that clearly has no future and they are both totally drunk and on their way to 7th heaven. Fat_Slug Posted January 4, 2006 Share Posted January 4, 2006 most drink cuz its the media and such that makes it the in thing to be drunk. if they came across with a diff image, who knows whether it would be cool to be drunk as a newt.its basically cool to be drunk personally, often half a shandy and i feel tipsy. i try and keep away from drink, simply as i hate not feeling in control of my actions.the only drink that doesn't effect me is bailies. all people hae the right to try out alcohol, here we have alcohol free areas which help control the drunk idiots, and gives police powers to reprimand drunks. I don't drink to be cool, i passed all that highschool crap about 4 years ago, i drink because i enjoy it. Pretty simple really. Oh, and just so you all know, there's a difference between someone who drinks, and the type of people you see throwing up all over themselves in public. That difference is knowing your limits, and it's the reason why i have never puked in public, never got into a fight while drinking (or even while sober), never been arrested for drinking, never been to hospital for drinking, and never had to be carried home by anyone. And frankly, I think I am better for not drinking. I am a better person than you, and I am more mature for doing so. Jesus man, you really make me laugh sometimes. I agree that drinking is a stupid thing to do, but only in excessive amounts. I just don't see how you can look down on people who drink (or smoke/curse for that matter), when, in my opinion, your self proclaimed arrogance is a far worse trait. I'm a non smoker, but i would never think less of someone purely because they smoke, and i would certainly never think i was above that person just because they have a cigarette in their mouth. You can't possibly think you're above someone you've never even met, just because they smoke, or drink, or curse. Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.
