timmay929
I'm not much into rock so I don't hear a lot of drum solos, but my computer teacher last year showed me a clip on his computer of a guy from a band called 'Rush', I can't recall his name, and it was pretty good. I'm pretty sure that was the band's name. 122 Combat : 99 Hits : 99 Attack : 99 Strength97/99 Defence : 99 Fletching : 99 Woodcutting

I'm pretty sure that was the band's name. Drummer is called Neil Peart. The video you will have seen will be his drum solo O Baterista, or his newer one Der Trommler. Both some of the best examples of drumming I've ever seen. Rizla
I haven't really listened to a lot of drum solos, but for a quick solo the start of Davidian by Machinehead is pretty technical. Best drum solo i've seen live was Joey Jordison of Slipknot doing his spinning kit routine, or maybe when i saw Godsmack and they had 2 drum kits, the lead singer went on drums and they played a 3-4 minutes solo. Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.
assassin_696
There's a very small drum solo at the end of Spirit by the Caesars which is pretty amazing. Also on the The Who Live At the Albert Hall DVD there's a nice drum intro into the ending section of Won't Get Fooled Again. How2PK
The song "the Mule" which I mentioned earlier in this thread is also on the live CD "Made in Japan" by Deep Purple. This CD is one of the best, if not the best, live registrations of a band ever. There is almost zero changes in the productio of this CD and every self-respecting rock music fan should have this CD. sheepdean
Roger Taylor's solo from the Queen + Paul Rodgers tour. (Inspiringly called ' let there be drums') Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.
