To show: typical slayer setup at your stats (no imbued, sw cape over fire, whip) would have a max of 535 w/ Bandos, fury, berserker ring and piety. Now since you need ~6.5m xp, which will cost you around 160m with dragon bones, so you will keep your berserker ring but not the fury. That means 8 less strength bonus. Yet with turmoil your max will go to 544, 550 if you get your fury back etc. So yeah it's worth it.
