Fasted Gold Charm Droppers

Topic says it all.

I'm looking for the most gold charms/hour. I know monsters like fire giants and hellhounds are among the most common droppers, but their high health makes me wonder if lower monsters would be better? I've heard giant red spiders can drop 80-90 an hour at 80 melees. Also ice giants/warriors are supposedly good.

What do you guys think? I should add in that: I'm looking for something I can camp without bunyips (b2p is fine) and without using a cannon.

I would think cannoning Hellhounds or Fire Giants would be the best way to collect a lot, but you would be better farming crimson charms really.

I'd highly suggest slaying for your charms.

Waaaay back when Summoning was released, Jagex stated that slayer monsters would have a high rate of charms, and that turned out to be true. Many slayer tasks such as Greater Demons, Black Demons, Skeletal Wyverns, Waterfiends, Nechrayeal and Abyssal demons have very decent crimson charm rates, and there are other tasks (such as gargoyles, dark beasts, ice strykewyrms and aberrant spectres,) that give a decent proportion of blue charms as well. Also slayer has the benefit of giving Slayer exp, decent combat exp, effigies, and good money on certain tasks

However, it would be better if we knew your combat stats and your slayer level, as well as your current summoning level, so we could know what pouches you could make, and what monsters you could slay/kill.

Without knowing your stats and other requirements (e.g. equipment that you have available) there's only so few things to suggest really.

Overall I agree with IHasChicken that Slayer is an excellent way of gathering charms. It may not necessarily be the fastest amount/hour possible, but as most slayer creatures are decent charm droppers it's an option you may want to consider whatever your levels are.

Dagannoths are an excellent option for Golds, as well. I'd be surprised if you couldn't kill 800+ per hour which, with a 28-32% Gold drop rate, should yield well over 200 Golds/hr. This is assuming that you're using a cannon and familiar, of course. (I'm curious... can 1000 kills/hr be achieved? =o)

I don't know the actual max kills/hr at dagganoth but they are probably the fastest gold charms.

gold charms are good for people with low summoning levels who cant use (or dont want to waste at low levels) green/crims and blues effeciently. I have the same problem, plenty of greens, some crims but not enough golds to start using the others effieciently.

Ice warriors are cool. Kill them at the place where you kill the ice queen. With 80 melees, it goes by pretty fast.

And FYI to above, I got to 52 summoning on gold charms, and it's not a bad choice if you don't have money for spirit shards straight up.
