May 14, 201115 yr Okay so i just reched 90 attack and am curretly 90/99/80 melles and i was wondering if it would be best for me to continue training attack or switch to defence and start getting that up? I boss hunt(with clan), and pk a little bit, do clw and other minigames, i slay sometimes, and am working towards a rapier as i type, i have extremes (except xdef which i will be getting soon.) also should i stick with my prom maul when i dung or switch to a prom 2h? May 14, 201115 yr You can switch to Defence for a little while, for some variety. In my experience, if I don't switch around skills they tend to become more boring, thus lower XP gains. :P
May 14, 201115 yr Author im not worried about "Fun" i just want to know which would be best for me "Happiness depends more on the inward disposition of mind than on outward circumstances."Benjamin Franklin "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."Albert Einstein
May 14, 201115 yr What do you do the most? I would say generally attack would be best but depending on what you spend time doing defense could be better. Defense would also raise your combat level more quickly. PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.
May 14, 201115 yr It really doesnt matter, but I would go with defence for more even stats. 90 defence will allow you to wield prom platebody which will be useful when dung'ing, whereas the same amount xp gain in attack won't allow you to wield anything new/useful.
May 14, 201115 yr Prom 2h > Prom maul so get a prom 2h. Training up 99 atk first then 99 defence is the faster then the other way round.
May 14, 201115 yr Also; I got to the end of your siggy. Do I get a prize? Edit: Never bind prom plate unless you don't have ssh PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.
May 14, 201115 yr Author i wouldnt get 99 defence i would be getting 90defence then 99atack if i decided to get def up first :P "Happiness depends more on the inward disposition of mind than on outward circumstances."Benjamin Franklin "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."Albert Einstein
May 14, 201115 yr That's the first signature I've wanted to bot :o. I'd go for prom 2h + prom plate aka 90 defence. May 14, 201115 yr At 90 attack you're already so accurate on any monster you should be powertraining at that getting 99 attack isn't going to yield any noticible difference in exp/hr. Meaning its basically irrelevant from an efficiency standpoint which one you train next. I would say defense because of the dg benefits you gain from a prom plate until (if you ever) find a shadowsilk hood. The only benefit you would get from 99 attack in dg would be primal baxe (primal 2h isn't available till 113(?) Dg) which is better than a prom 2h if you use it right and can pray flash efficiently as well as allowing for easier switching to your csb to mage. May 14, 201115 yr I suggest 80-85 defence, 90-95 attack, 85-90 defence, 99 attack, 99 defence. Keeps it interesting. PM me for fitocracy invite

Unless you're getting plummeled so much more which I highly doubt.Like everybody said though - if you're going to DG, why not get 90 def? You get access to a platebody (although, there are plenty of better binds)

If dg you wont be using anything but the aggressive option for the+ 3 str bonus and the berserker ring. Did you even read my post? May 15, 201115 yr Prom 2h>maul Attack>defence Nice signature: "Honestly if you got this far you have way to much time on your hands and maybe you should go outside and get your 60min of exercise for today :P" Copying that made my internet browser stop for a while.

Yes, and I don't see the point you're trying to make now.Outside of DG - the OP would be on either the atk or def stance. I'm saying atk > def since he is looking for the best method I was addressing the fact that people suggested leveling his defense up to 90 so he could have a better plate bind. All I'm saying is that - the plate bind might be helpful but you drop it as soon as you get a SSH. Which isn't all that rare (in my experience at least)
May 15, 201115 yr im not worried about "Fun" i just want to know which would be best for me Well, even so, I still recommend 99 Defence because a. You will gain combat levels and levels much quickerb. You will be able to wear more things like promethium armour in Dungeoneering c. won't need to bring as much food while training, so you can stay there longer
May 15, 201115 yr 99 attack first is more efficient in the long run. PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.
May 15, 201115 yr Well, I meant more like 90 Defence first, then you can get 99 later on if you wish.
