Without Yak is it better to urn the ashes or to bank them?

I would personally use an urn.

Urns obviously, if you don't have a yak. Even with yak I'd urn the ashes, too much of a hassle to bank every single ashes drop.

I'd just use an urn as well.

Urn if you can do frosts. Bank otherwise.

 

Don't forget to flame people who you see doing neither. Essential.

CT resource dungeon. That place is usually empty and allows for a nice afk-able task. ;)

You can range cannon elsewhere, which makes the task much faster. Plus if you use urns you won't need to move to pick up drops very often.

 

OT: Use urns, its not worth losing out on faster experience.

You can pick up drops without skipping attack turns. OP can't do frosties so infernals and d bones are his best consistent moneymakers. That means that his priorities should either be getting access to frosties or making the most of what he has available.

He doesn't have a yak, so I doubt it's worth all that extra time spent picking up ashes and running to bank every 10 minutes. So it's best for him to just urn them.

Time how long it takes for you to bank at Black Demons. Calculate the profit you could make from banking every trip and compare it with the time to find the GP/hour of banking.

With the infernal urn being only 155gp per urn and the xp given at 1,875 xp per urn so thats about 12 xp/gp, or in other words, a very decent alternative for pray xp. :thumbsup:

He's saying that since you give up the ability to sell the ashes, you also "lose" money that you could have gotten.

Meh, taking that rationale the best advice would be to first get a yak and then go camp something else and leave the task alone... But that's taking it quite past extreme. =p Anywho, though the statistics seem misleading, it's true. If you don't care at all about how long you have to spend, the cheapest experience in prayer, right there.

Admitting that your post is misleading then throwing in a quote does not make it ok. Opportunity cost is referring to the fact that time is as much a resource as money is, thus the only cost going into the prayer exp is not the cost of the urns.
