s1acker was nowhere near one of the first to get 85 slayer. I think youre thinking about odyus 0ddball fir3 and others :roll:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyways, yeah got quite a few 90+ slayer friends, and only drop that dark beasts have is death tally. Hope they plan on having them drop something descent in the future.

I really don't like you people speculating, saying that you know that someone knows a friend of an uncle of an exchange student from nepal who don't play but his sister dated andrews little brother who told her that when there are enough 90 slayers that they will alter their drops. Unless you can tell us another instance where theyhave dont that before, there si no preceddent for it, nor would t be fair by jagex to all the people who took the inititive to get high slayer to do what you are proposing.

Guys, remember how people found out about dd's dropping chains? Someone doing the quest killed one then BAM, the item. I personally think theres a new item (I think a shield) with that same kind of rarity and no one has killed enough yet to ge it. Also its not dragon, otherwise jagex would post it on that one list ;)

Yes I know I am bumping an incredibly old topic, but I thought some of you would want to read what we thought dark beasts were going to be back then.

 

 

 

Anyways how rare (or often) do you think the dark bow drop will be?

 

In addition will dark beasts drop both a short and a long dark bow?

Does anyone have any tips for dark beast slaying beyond the obvious? I'm 89 slayer, soon to be 90, and I haven't killed any yet. Just wondering if there are any helpful tips out there. :)

 

 

 

And hoffman, those are both good questions which I could only speculate an answer for. But I'd guess there's only one type of bow. Hopefully it works like a shortbow.

And at the time of this thread being started, there were 397 90+ slayers. Now there are 2740 90+ slayers. Amazing what changes in 17 months.

I get them as slaying tasks from Duradel quite frequently.

 

 

 

I can tell you from experience that their drops suck. They mainly dro just cash, and sometimes the odd herb. Even rarer is an alchable rune drop.

 

 

 

To be honest, the only reason I do them as a task is because you're never assigned more than 20 per task. The time it takes you to get a new task and complete doesn't save any time, so I just go ahead and kill them.

 

 

 

You also need to have started Mourning Ends Part 2 to access them and unless you've completed the quest, you also need full Mourner set to access them (though once you're in their with them, you can wear whatever you like).

If you've completed the ME2 quest do you still have to wear the outfit to get to them? Ive been down there a couple times but ive always taken the outfit. Would be nice if you didn't have to wear that.

You can't even get into the front door without the outfit on. I tryed.

 

Also if you are missing any part of the complete mourners outfit they

 

will not let you in they say : " Who are you "?

 

 

 

What I have been doing is stocking my bank up with loads of mourners cloths

 

that way I have more inventory room to stay longer for the drops.

 

I will just keep dropping the outfits, camp there as long as I can, leave and when

 

I want to return again I have another outfit sitting in my bank. :D

 

 

 

BTW:Before people start screaming " OMG!! Don't tell everyone the secret. I know

 

many of people who are doing this now and the word is out amongst the 90 slayers

 

so this news is nothing that needs to be hid any longer. Not to hard to figure this out

You can kill the mourners in the basement they drop the full outfits.

Yes, I'm glad that they came out with something like that. Dark beasts have really bad rewards for being such high leveled things, needing such high-leveled slayer to kill them.

Hehe it's probably even faster than using Ardougne. You have to risk the Abyss though, but that's no much of a danger since most rc pkers are 90-110.
