I noticed a few users have their usergroup set to "Members+"

Simply put, what does this do and what qualifies users for it?

What is going on with this Members+ stuff?

We're experimenting with usergroups based on post count :P For now we're just playing with a few ideas and if they get more concrete we'll let you know. ATM anyone with 100+ posts gets moved into the Members+ group (but you have to post again to activate it). But this could be removed in the future if we decide not to do anything with it. Again, just messing around a bit.

i made a few posts in my blog, maybe posts that don't go toward your post count don't trigger it?

They are only playing with it and 100 seems a reasonable first boundary. I'd say if its a safe assumption that if followed through the categories would be better named and have more than the 1 boundary.

Sounds promising if benefits are enacted for members+ or even high tiers.

Seriously though, this needs to be implemented carefully. I'm sure the admins will be able to balance it out though and it won't cause any problems.

Lol calm down guys, all that we're looking at now (as far as I know) is changing the flood limit. It's not going to be a special perks kind of thing...

That means you're changing the restrictions on posting times for a subsequent post?

I was just about to post asking about this, glad I looked first.

 

When I noticed that all the members that had a + were trol.. I mean regular posters like myself I thought we'd been made marked men/women/otherworldly things.

Anyone with >100 posts, has been active, and posted recently? Heck, this helps weed out spambots, let alone any other nice things the new grouping might get. At this point, getting decreased flood limit time (would help when I'm trying to add someone's quote to my post because of an afterthought, that's for sure) would be a nice icing on the cake. |^_^|

100 posts seems a little low for changing the flood limit. A smart spammer could make a hundred useless posts quick and then go on a rampage.
