Nature Rune prices soar!

Featured Replies

Nature rune prices have increased by something like 50% or more in the last week!!

So, here I was thinking, Hey, I can use this super awesome Dynamic Calculator to figure out what to buy so I can buy it and nature runes from the GE to not only get my High-Alching on, I could arrange not to lose money while I do it!

So, when I started this lil shindig several days ago nature runes were costing me ~105GP/ea and life was good. I was able to find quite a few things that would at least break even at that, and some that would even give me several GP profit!

Sadly, every hour the price seems to go higher and higher! I just looked into it again and they are going for 173GP/ea!!!

Not sure if this is anger, it's more of just a disappointing bit when I had just gotten my hopes up, reality hits!

Anyhow, thanks for reading.

Oh well, so much for me alching to 99 fishing, mining and woodcutting :P

Gotta be glad that the root cause is gone, though !

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Your complying about them going from 100 to 200 gp?

The stable price of natures is meant to be 300 each.

yes, it is a pain, but it is not a bad thing that the price is going up.

Assuming you mean the removal of the bots, then HECK YA!! WOOHOOO!! bye byes to the botties.

As far as I know your claim of "The stable price of natures is meant to be 300 each" is arbitrary, or can you provide sources?

As for prices going up, sounds great, means when I work on Runecrafting I make that much more from the runes! I understand that for each change some will benefit, and some won't.

What I meant when I said this thread wasn't posted due to anger, but rather disappointment, I meant I don't mean to rant saying "Nature rune prices shouldn't go up", but rather just sharing the frustration that "they ARE going up, and I wish they wouldn't at the moment".

2005 - 350 ea

2006 - 350 ea

2007 - 300 ea

2008- 300 ea

2009 - 280 ea

2010 - 230 ea

2011 - 110.....

It's only natural after all these bots get cleansed out that they go back to their norm price, set by runecrafters many years ago.

Kinda sounds like a story-tale...

I would love for rcing to become massive profit again. Some runes have skyrocketed. I know Astral's have jumped over 100% in the past 30 days. Stock up on Pure Ess and get crafty :D

A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind.

Ya, it'll be nice to be able to make some profit when I work on Runecrafting in the future. I just felt like ranting about the hiccup with my plans to magic to 99 by alching for profit. ;)

Thank you all for your input. :)

If you were planning to get 99 magic by alching you should have done it before they changed the high-alch price of natures :P

Luck be a Lady

I used to rc natures all the time, for me to go back it'd have to be 230 each at least, heres hoping. And just a tip, I have 94 crafting and am raising it by making water batttlestaffs. I hoard battlestaffs by buying off ge everyday and from zaff and when I can be bothered to make them I do in one go, last time I made 13k. I sold for 9.1k each and thats when you buy in bulk and alch for 9300 each. I used to buy off ge but buying off runescape forums is the way to go.

Alching is garbage slow xp anyway. String jewellery is where it's at!

Honestly, I hope natures rise back to ~300. Hell, maybe even more. Remember, back in the "good ol days" there were bots, and now there are no bots. Who knows, they might rise to higher than before. Profitable runecrafting please? I'll start training to 91 in anticipation...

I've always loved the runecrafting skill, and tend to rely on myself for my runes. Either way, I welcome this; I could use some more profit.

What a ridiculous thing to rant about.

Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.

Runes should be higher than what they are currently. RC should be profitable like it used to be.

Man, I remember the good old "buying 1 law 1k" days :)

Mmm... Good times...

Those days aren't old. People do that all the time for things they want right this second, be it law runes, nature runes, or even spades.

The number of times at barrows....

"300 programmers make their futile but glorious last stand against 1000000 angry players in The battle of Misthalin. They fight for honor, glory and new content sacrificing themselves so that their game may live on. This is Madness! This Is JAGEEEX!"

natures at 1k/per used to be the norm...i remember getting atleast 3 levels aching wheat in zanaris because it was junk that was hard to come by...

I can see overall everyone agrees that this is a good thing...

Heh, For one of the single most painful skills to train, its about time it became useful x.x

I've always wanted to get my rank under 1k in runecrafting. Maybe I'll do natures for it if they get higher just for the lolz.

I want to be efficient so I'm stuck at ZMI forever :(

Nope, next year there is going to be altar-less runecrafting :)
