So I just got a task of 96 steel dragons and i've never done them before, should i just use the same setup and inventory as i did for iron dragons?

For now I use

Full Slayer Helm

Amulet of Glory

Initiate platebody

Initiate platelegs

Dragon Boots

Abyssal Whip

Combat Bracelet

Ring Of Wealth

Antidragon shield (the one you can get for free >.<)

14 prayer pots

4 antifires

nature and fire runes

varrock tele

and some monkfish?

Or what should i do and change? stats are in siggy.

Yeah basically the same as for iron dragons works.

 

If you're melee protecting you shouldn't need any food. Bring BoB for extra prayer potions/carry bones.

Ok thank you :) and with BoB when is a good time to use them just the second i leave for kuradels dungeon? just fill them up than when i get there use them till they are about to run out?

Fill up BoB at bank with extra potions, etc. Whatever you need. Bring an extra pouch if necessary.

 

Then load it up with bones and when it's full bank and come back. That's what I would do, but you do what suits you best. :)

 

Don't forget your super sets as well!

Presumably you're using Kuradels dung... If this is the case, not you CANNOT take a familar into the waterfall loaded with items.

 

Im 87 attack 92 str, currently doing the same task - The only difference i use is a Leaf-bladed sword - it is MUCH better than whip as they're weak to stab.

 

You'll only need 3 Anti fire pots, no food and if you insist on using a BoB take a tort or bird and summon if you dont have invent space for their drops.

 

Pointless alching their drops, just keep and sell on GE.

Never use the Combat bracelet!!!! Use your RFD gloves!! If you want to keep track of kills, use a slayer ring!! Yes, the exclamation marks are necessary.

 

Also use a bunyip, tank their attacks for a bit and then turn prayer at low health and let the bunyip heal you back up. This saves a few prayer points.

I personally wouldn't do this - just use max prayer bonuses and chivarly/prot melee.

It's long, but I would definitely put it near the top of the list if you can do it. The all around usefulness of the gloves makes it well worth it.

Dragon Boots (only upgrade is ~30-40m steadfasts :P)

Abyssal Whip (use a stab weapon: brackish blade or chaotic rapier)

Combat Bracelet (upgrade to RFD gloves ASAP)

Ring Of Wealth (if you are in Kuradal's, use a ferocious ring)

Antidragon shield (the one you can get for free >.<) (only upgrade is dragon defender with superantifires (~30m in herblore supplies) or ~10m dfs)

14 prayer pots

4 antifires (bring super attack and strength, extremely important. 1 potion set per antifire)

nature and fire runes (useful)

varrock tele (discard, you can always home tele)

and some monkfish? (no need)

RFD is very much worth doing. Its a pretty epic quest too. I did it at like 79 combat i think (maybe lower) and haven't done a single quest since, so maybe its put me off questing haha, but otherwise its very worth it.

I'd personally go for something with a bit more stab than a whip since metal dragons are weak to stab.

Whirlpool still blocks your farmiliar, but I can confirm neither Fairy Ring nor the Ferocious Ring block farmiliars.

Try using the Korasi Sword if you have it. It is the best stab weapon to use without having 80 dung.

Korasi sword? and I tried leaf bladed sword, that was terrible only got a couple kills in >.< Abyssal is working for me a lot better right now

If you dont feel like doing a long winded quest, Brackish Blade works well too. You can also train strength with it, in case you want to

A decent replacement for fires/nats is the lummy ring 4. You typically only have your inventory full when the autoaggro time has passed (assuming you have a BoB for some bones) so you can use the ring to alch some stuff at that point. I also found the cabbage port to be pretty useful as an emergency tp that's relatively close to a bank.
