Hello.

Today i lost my santa hat as a guy named : [name]

Trust traded me hes santa hat and asked me to lend him myne for 1 hour.

I traded him my santa for 1h , I DID LEND , NOT NORMAL TRADE!

After like 5 mins i just realised that my santa is not in the lent out box! Its gone forever!
Than i tryed to lend out another item until logout to a friend and i got it back!

What the hell is happening?! Some1 could rollback my account with like 10H to get it back for me? PLEASE!

It's a scam as far as I know. did he offer to give you a santa, then ask for it back? I almost lost my Ags to something like this, he actually declined the trade, not actually accepting, so you ended up giving him YOUR santa, and not his. :wall:

Also, Jagex will not roll back accounts, sadly.

A friend of mine lost his bcp like this. Best explanation I could come with was what Ambler said. But my friend who got scammed says that in the chatbox it said that the trade was accepted.

Tbh, I have no idea what's going on but you're not the first. All I can say for now is to be careful what and who you lend to.

It would give an insight as to what happened, and whether what Ambler suggested is what happens.

I don't really understand why you got so defensive when we are trying to figure out for you what happened and with a video this can help us further? :L

The video WILL help us explain it to you, though I have to say you were probably scammed with the method I descibed above.

Also, rolling back a single account is near impossible, due tothe amount of interactionwith other accounts, and those accounts may have interactd with OTHER accounts....

The best thing they can do is fix the glitch that caused this scam and ban those accounts who used this to scam other people. Your santa however is lost, they do not do roll backs unless it was something really significant like server-wide glitch or a really really big one like duplicating or something.

Trust trades, in contrast to its name, is NEVER trust worthy, let it be them asking you to do the trust trade, or they offer to the trust trade to you.

The only thing I can say is this, to put it bluntly, Get over it. It was partly your fault for falling to the scam, even if you were completely oblivious.

The main thing that occurs to me with this:

If he had a Santa and you had a Santa why, oh why on earth was he trust trading you his and you lending him yours? That sounds like the most moronically pointless thing ever; what is it even meant to achieve borrowing the same item off each other at the same time?

But yeah as other people covered ain't gonna get rolled back and the video would be helpful to see wtf happened, though tbh the sheer fact you have it on video sounds odd to me. Why would you be videoing everyday goings on in the first place? But yeah the video would be helpful.

I'd personally record a santa trust trade too. (Well i wouldn't be dumb enough to do a 'trust trade' but you get the idea.)

As for the scam glitch, i'm calling BS till we see video proof. As far as i know, the lending system hasn't been changed in months, so it's highly unlikely theres a glitch that no one has stumbled upon by this time. More likely you just traded the wrong santa, or something.

What happened was he declined the trade then said okay give me my santa back, assuming he accepted the trade and your santa was lent out you give him YOUR santa and he got a scammed santa, someone tried to get my ags that way last night.

It's a scam not a Glitch. He got you to lend him YOUR Santa then traded you and offered up HIS santa. He then declines this trade and uses YOUR santa back on you to give it back, making it looks like the trade went through successfully. You then gave him 'back' YOUR santa via trade.

You never had his Santa, and you gave yours away without realising.

Jagex will never roll back personal accounts because of a scam, sorry for your loss :(

How very clever.... this seems most likely (I still don't see why you agreed to this and so happened to be vidding... something funny about this whole mess imo)

But yeah it's your fault and Jagex won't do a thing about it. Sucks...

Hah. The very way this scam functions only works on the gulliable and kind hearted. This is the type of thing that destroys someones trust forever, it's like it was created by the devil or something. I love it.

Edit: Explanation for why i say that. First of all you must find someone is willing to trade you and hold onto your santa. Most would just assume it was some sort of scam and ignore the person. And then, your victim must be willing to give you 'your' santa BACK. You are punished for your kindness.
