Madoka does end up with a pretty sucky fate DEPENDING on how you look at it.

All she ever wanted was to make a difference and help people, so she 'died' with her greatest wish fulfilled. At the worst, she was wiped from existence in a world that may very well not have an afterlife anyways. At best, she remains a godlike power in the universe. People haven't even completely forgotten her...

Anyways, dying in the battle wouldn't be likely to work both because of Madoka's sheer power and the fact that Homura would be driven to continue the loop if she did die.

Late, Halo. Kinda spoiled the joke, and a small bit of the show for those who might want to watch it. <_<

Unspam, does anyone here beside Archi own or would be interested in getting Victoria 2? It's similar to EU3, but set in the Victorian era (1836-1936)

I've acquired it and am waiting for it to go on sale before purchasing it on steam (and spending a bit of time getting used to EU3 again).

I may be biased as I played a lot of vicky 1, but I found it a lot easier to pick up than EU3. Unlike the original, the AI actually does a good job managing the economy (With the exception of factories), so you really don't have to touch the buy/sell sliders unless you want to.

God I hate Victoria 1.

I was playing it as my Moroccan super power, going alright, my economy slowly increasing...Check the highscores, Russia is increasing pretty fast, but I suppose that is fair, they are playing catchup.

Check again, they are about equal.

RIGHT, I am gonna fix this. Do some jiggling with the buy/sell system and build twenty dozen factories (in useful locations, with people), upgrade all the factories that need to be upgraded, upgrade my railroads so practically everywhere has level 2 or higher (we are talking 1850-60s, though tech went right out the window as everywhere was literate), upgrade dozens of my RGOs. Spent like 3 hours doing it all.

Set it to carry on, go and make a sandwich, come back, smile quietly to myself that Russia's days are numbered and soon I will be unassailable. Spend the half an hour waiting for my factories to finish building upgrading other factories (Rolling building program).

Finishes, I have a 100 point lead on Russia....WHAT THE HELL! Down from 150.

I have the single most powerful economy on the planet! I have zero imports, I have a considerable social program, negative tariffs and pretty low tax(about 10% across the board). I export over 100 steel per day, alone!

And yet, Russia, while fighting Prussia and Japan, is still able to build more factories than I can!

I go on a second building spree, this time even larger, upgrading pretty much everything that could possibly be classed as industry.

Finishes on a 200 point lead on Russia.

...

I DON'T HAVE 2 HOURS TO PREPARE FOR EVERY HALF HOUR OF GAMEPLAY! JUST TO GET A 50 POINT LEAD!

My damned people won't vote for a Laizze Faire Government, or even in Interventionalist, oh no, they went for State Capitalism before upgrading to Central Planning! Now they hold a 60% majority IRREGARDLESS OF WHAT I DO!

Vickey 2, by comparison, was considerably better, as well as being more engaging.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Does anyone know if anyone has actually finished the Jihad challenge in EUIII?

EDIT: To clarify the Jihad achievement in EUIII Divine Wind is to conquer all of Europe, Asia and Africa and convert them to the Sunni faith. All. As. Najid.

Dusty could probably do that, blindfolded, constant 4X speed, hard difficulty, high agressiveness :3

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

while taking 15 minute smoke breaks every two hours

What happens when your blindfold catches on fire?

He takes less breaks because he can smoke inside?

It wouldn't be impossible.

If GB attacked Castille at the same time as you were attacking it (As Morroco, of course), then you could take a couple of their provinces, then produce european units, and fight on semi-equal terms.

Elsewise....ATTACK is your only option, as you get relatively weaker as the game goes on.

Was just saying, for the jihad challenge, you have to be najiz or w/e they were called, as Grim stated.

It's a REALLY big shaft.
