Nexaduro
I think I'm going to go with revolvers until I get bored. I like revolvers. I started out with 5 Strength, 6 Perception, 5 Endurance, 6 Charisma, 5 Intelligence, 7 Agility, and 6 Luck. For perk purposes. I probably won't be minmaxing or overoptimizing much. Just playing to enjoy. 10:53 PM - retech9691: I feel the need10:53 PM - retech9691: To include many chasms in my story arc10:53 PM - Resistance: You mean plotholes? The_Mather1
Fallout: NV isn't competitive, it's single-player only, and telling him the location of a heavily guarded weapon which is powerful but in poor condition is not powergaming. Besides, it's an ammo grinder and in its initial condition it's still no match for a horde of deathclaws or cazdores. And yes, I do mean revolver take forever to reload, they're underpowered, you load all six bullets individually instead of using a speedloader or a moonclip. archimage_a
Challanging yourself is still competitive. Its like saying 'If you go into the game files and set your life at 999999999999 and regeneration to 999999999 per 0.00000000001 seconds, then you can win easily.' http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. The_Mather1
It is not nearly on that level of power, the Tesla-Beaton prototype has a DAM of only around 150 and a miscalculated DPS of 350 (because it doesn't take acount for reloading after each shot), compared to a standard Gauss Rifle which has a DAM of 250 or the Gauss prototype which has 275. It can one-hit most ghouls and lightly armoured humans and all small animals, but it is impractical against deathclaws, cazdores, supermutants, heavily armoured humans and robots. Besides, the robots guarding it are some of the strongest NPCs in the game. Twitter: @TheMather1
Nexaduro
I'm not seeking to UNDERpower myself, and Mather's suggestion isn't an unfair one. But I can find it for myself. I'm familiar with revolvers in this game, I like them very much and have been able to use them well enough in self-defence up to level 14 on my cousin's copy. 10:53 PM - retech9691: I feel the need10:53 PM - retech9691: To include many chasms in my story arc10:53 PM - Resistance: You mean plotholes? Grim_
There are some fairly good revolvers iirc, one of the unique ones gives a bonus to damage and to crits. Oh and just as a general tip, if you go in guns blazing you will die, quickly (taking enemies one at a time preferably from a sneak attack seems to work best). Oh and if and when you go up against the higher ups in the legion and the NCR go armed for bear (revolvers generally aren't going to cut it, you will probably want something like a brush gun), because veteran rangers (in their armor) are [bleep]ing terrifying (same with centurions and praetorians (well less so for them)). Icuownage
You playing on hardcore mode? It's a REALLY big shaft.I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time? Nexaduro
Yup, Hardcore. Revolvers are partly part of the 'feel' I have for my character, and I'm trying to play in a mildly realistic fashion. Except for nabbing that Indiana Jones hat before leaving town and then switching back out the Wild Wasteland perk. 10:53 PM - retech9691: I feel the need10:53 PM - retech9691: To include many chasms in my story arc10:53 PM - Resistance: You mean plotholes? Grim_
You playing on hardcore mode?Only way to play the game in my humble opinion. Hence why I recommend a gun like the brush gun or the trail carbine (with the scope) that has fairly plentiful ammunition or is really deadly, and is fairly versatile. The only guns that aren't really worth it (at least in my opinion and in hard core mode) are the miniguns, the lmgs and the smgs (because ammo actually weighs something). The_Mather1
Gauss rifles one-hit centurions, just saying, I think you can two-hit NCR heavies (those in salvaged power armour) and BoS knights too. A single hit takes out a cazdore and three hits can take out the deathclaw champion. And the best part is that they have scopes but they're just as good non-scope, they're like a sniper shotgun. And 12mm smgs are worth it, we're talking slug-sized bullets at a high rate of fire. Resistance
So far I have only seen the first part but to me it really catches the atmosphere of the book, something that the other films don't seem to do (most notably the older ones). It does stay true to the book very well in my eyes and its a shame that the Harry Potter series is ended: I suspect that I'll soon feel the emptiness of knowing something that you love has died again (once from the books). archimage_a
Film captured the book perfectly...It tried to be an epic when it clearly wasn't.So there were long periods where they stood around, doing nothing of value, and the various character deaths were terribly dull...You didn't see them hit or anything, you just saw them dead...and given the killing curse has no effect other than to kill you it looked terrible. My opinion...was a pain in the neck to sit through and a waste of five hours(Cinema) of my life. http://www.uzzisoft..../archimage.jpegWell I knew you wouldn't agree. Jehosaphat
The special effects were pretty cool, from what I can tell. And considering it was based off a book in which the majority of the time the three main characters were yelling amongst themselves in a tent in a forest, it wasn't too bad. Still not too happy about Harry being revived because of some stuff with the Hallows, though. Seems like a copout by the author to keep her main character alive while she kills off half the remaining cast. <_<

Well, I mean specifically. There's this whole debate over K/D vs flag captures in Domination and other games. I've found though that I didn't capture any flags until the end one match and instead kept the enemy at bay while my teammates took the flag. So I suppose it's one of those things where it depends on the types of kills you're getting.

The powergamer is probably the guy that's sniping people in a CTF game. He might kill a few people who directly threaten your team, but probably not for that reason. For a TF2 example, the snipers that duel each other in 2fort. From there they could probably snipe the scout that's running along the bridge, but scouts are hard to hit, so chances are he'll ignore him and instead aim for the other sniper  I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
