[hide]In Primary 3, I crapped my pants during a Chinese examination because I was too timid to ask to be excused (also, grades). The crap sagged in my pants later as we sang the national anthem during dismissal.

 

Finally, on the school bus ride home, all the kids were asking "Where's that smell coming from???" whilst I just shrank into my seat. When I got off at my stop later there was a brown pool on the upholstery.[/hide]

TNPW lament the loss of Pluto as a planet.

Pluto was like, the last cool planet. Literally cool, what with being a big frozen rock at the edge of the solar system. Local space sucks now.

 

TNPW research the solar system and post their findings.

Our solar system has eight planets. These planets do some pretty cool things, like Saturn being all ball of gas with its sparkly rings (incidentally it looks like a sticker from a telescope), but the transits of Venus are totally awesome. The last transit occurred in 2012, and the next isn't going to happen for quite a while.

 

You can view the transits of Venus from certain locations on Earth. Early astronomers observed the transits to determine the size of Venus and its distance from Earth.

 

The unfortunate Guillaume Le Gentil spent eight years travelling in an attempt to observe two of the transits, in 1761 and 1769. His unsuccessful journey led to him losing his wife and possessions and being declared dead.

 

Learnt this stuff in a university module I took two years ago.

In DSP, we learned that Lenna was the standard image for testing algorithms, and that she was cropped out of the centerfold of a Playboy magazine.

Avatar taken from the developer of Nexus War - it's supposed to be a symbol of Ouroboros, depicting the snake that eats its own tail (somewhat relevant to the developer since his game name was Jorm, short for Jormungandr).

 

Current signature is just a lulzy dialogue snippet from RS, with the stereotyped Asian voice acting it just comes out really weirdly in the game.
