Hedgehog
My content questions: Is it possible for mining equipment bonuses to be introduced, so we can move away from the current system of reducing the cooldown by 1 tick per tier? Furthermore, could mining level determine how many ores you can receive from one resource? Currently, low level resources such as iron approach 90+% accuracy at a very low level, so the xp/hour doesn't increase after unlocking rune/dragon pickaxes. Could smithing also be compressed, so that reaching 85 smithing would unlock the ability to smith all rune equipment, for example? This would open a space for higher leveled, potentially untradeable gear, which would certainly be appreciated by many. Other skills also have no use in the metagame, other than for completionist's sake. Could fletching, runecrafting, crafting, etc. receive something useful? When combat is updated, will the current triple-dice system still be in place? If not, could the new system be transferred to other skills? The news article specifically said the Q&A was for questions about the new sagas and RuneSpan. Unless the Q&A involves Paul, Chris L or Mark its not even worth the effort to type a question. Quyneax
We have learned that some mod or other's favourite headgear is bunny ears with druidic wreath a close second. But really, the Q&A contains a massive number of 'sorry that's content, I can't answer that' even when it's on tiny issues. For example: make-x used to pop up only for x > 1, but due to an update a while back it also shows up if you're making one unit only. Someone asked if that could be reversed for urns (and only that, ignoring all other times it's just bloody annoying) and instead of saying something useful the answer was "sorry that's content idk anything". Makes me think none of the mods answering there had any actual ability to make descisions about the game. What mods do we know can actually make hard decisions about the game on the fly? --- I read the Q&A, didn't really get too much out of it. Cool stuff is happening with the engine, that's somewhat relevant to what I [may] do for a living, but outside of that, the only thing to get really excited for would be the next bot nuke. *shrug* If only to watch the bots, like cockroaches, come back to the radioactive crater that was RuneScape. Omali
I haven't seen this Q&A but I bet I can answer 95% of everyone's questions before Jagex does. "I can't answer that right now." A Jagex Q&A is, and has been for the past 7 years I've been here, a measure of patience as Jagex answers anything substantial with "I can't answer that," or "I'm not the right person to answer," (often answering the same question multiple times), gives long answers to irrelevant garbage like "what's your favorite NPC?" and runs out of time before anything of worth can be said. Platinum_Myr
Agreed. At least they are trying to be more open though. The engine Q/A could've stopped answering optimus questions.... Would've made it a whole lot shorter. I like that they said untradable-notes might come soon, though. ( One of the first answers to the question "why can't we have untradable notes?) They actually said the current engine is completely able to support untradables as notes it just hasn't been activated for the main game yet.Probably going through QA I should think to ensure trade/drop/destroy function properly.
