Training dungeoneering.

Recommended Posts

As much as I hate to admit it I need access to the resource dungeons.

So I wanna ask, how can I get 80 dungeoneering in a week? I don't care what I have to do, I want to get to level 80 dungeoneering in a week, there must be a possible way.

I spend 5 hours or less playing RuneScape, because I have other things to do.

So yeah, as soon as I'm done training herblore I want to get to level 80 dungeoneering, in a week.

Cant be done. The fastest way possible would be to spend lamps, peng points, JoaT, tears of Guthix, and Troll invasion on it until 69. From there 69-80 can easily be done in a week.

Really? Ok, I will admit I was asking how to do the impossible. It's just that there are so many resource dungeons I want to access. And I'm in rush trying to get a high dungeoneering level.

But it's probably one of the hardest skills to train.

its also quite fun once you get to a higher level. On my list of things to do for exp I forgot to through in the sagas once you unlock them and unlocking resource dungeons when you get the level for them.

There really is no way to trian dungeoneering fast at a very low level. The best thing to do is use xp rewards on it, especially ones that aren't tied to your current level (e.g. quest rewards, early bird special xp, etc.)

If you can rather quickly get even to lvl 59, you could probably buy leech floors from that point on. Quickly rush through c1 small floors for f1-29, then buy a leech floor for all your abandon 2's and occults. This will cost a ton, however. If you have a friend with high dung lvl, they may be willing to suicide for you/help you get fast floors.

Dung training is very slow at first, but rather quickly gets faster the higher level you are.

So you're telling me the fastest way to train dungeoneering is also the most expensive one?

You know what? Screw all this, screw it. I'm not gonna rush training dungeoneering. I will just take my time to train that skill.

I should earn the ability to use those resource dungeons, not try to get the level as quick as possible.

I spend less than five hours a day playing RuneScape. So I should just take my time.

Yeah, I will just take my time. I will eventually get level 80 dungeoneering, but it is gonna take a long time, and it should.

Dungeoneering can still be very fast and very fun if you do have friends that already know how to dg well, or at least one person to show you the basics so you can make your own way. I'd solo floors before 59 to get a hang of things or use pengs/jot/tears of guthix for it at low levels. When you start using teams either in a clan or on w77 it's best to be able to pull your own weight, though there are plenty of dgers who are willing to give advice.

It is rather pointless to buy floors in my opinion, mostly because you're still spending the time getting the xp anyways. Though it will be slower if you don't have pro teams and you're not buying floors. It can still be loads of fun once you get the hang of it.

Slayer; it's just what I do.

I play the game on my own, I don't rely on getting help from others, sorry. I just like playing the game solo.

That's also one of the reasons I don't train summoning because I don't want help from anyone.

Oh and by the way I read the rest of the post, and thanks for the information.

I will defiantly not spend any of my money to train dungeoneering.

This is also the guy who still uses a D Baxe because he thinks Whips are silly, and trains thieving by pickpocketing. I wouldn't try to understand him.

Dungeoneering isn't that slow at lower levels. 1-80 in a week will require a lot of playing but it can be done. Just solo the last half of the floors you can access, medium floors, complexity 6. Do the first/lower half of the floors small, complexity one. Rinse and repeat until you hit 80.

When I was at a low level, I soloed mediums and smalls till about level 50, then did tried to do the last 5 floors I could do as c6 large 5:5 with a team. And you just find teams in the dung lobby until you are good enough to be in a clan. A lot of the clans aren't that active anyway so often better off just trying to get a team in the lobby. Once you can do floor 35, I would do every floor after floor 35 at least until you are around 90, at which point maybe every floor after 38.

As you get higher you will want to rush (c1 small 4/5 person team) the lower floors, until the large floors as mentioned above.

Once you have done all floors you should reset and start from the bottom again.

Its a daunting skill to begin with, but honestly its so good after sort of 80/85+. I think its the best skill in RS, and I loved getting 99 in it. I have to stop myself from going back so I meet my other goals :)

I will admit trying to get to level 80 dungeoneering as quickly as possible is too many steps at a time.

I only need level 20 as of now, since I want the limpwurt respawns in the Edgeville dungeon as I hate fighting those hill giants.

I'm almost done training herblore, after that I will head to that dungeoneering castle and train that skill and not stop until I reach 20 dungeoneering.

How long is that gonna take?

That's just one of the reasons I don't train summoning, I don't think you guys even wanna know the main reason why I don't do it.

Anyway, I am training summoning now and the skill is harder to train than I expected. I will be in daemonhaven for a long time now.

But I will leave as soon as I have 20 dungeoneering, even though I like killing the monsters in there, I find killing monsters outside daemonhaven to be more fun since I get to keep the drops there. Unlike in daemonhaven where the items disappear as soon as I get to the next floor.

20 dg isnt really that hard, or long for that matter. If I remember correctly, its almost always 1 floor=1 level up to level 25-30ish (dont quote me, im just trying to remember my personal experience). But that is doing c6 mediums solo also.

Alright, something strange happened. I logged in again, and no matter where I go I'm not teleported to the place I can get those strange fish or monsters to fight. I went to the free-for-all barrier and it didn't teleport me to any floor.

Seriously, what's going on? If I'm not teleported there, I can't train the skill.

You have to open the party menu from your ring of kinship. Click the big button "Form a party"

Then click the floor select button, select a floor.

Then click select complexity. Since you've never done dg before you're probably only gonna have complexity one available. Select that, then you're set to start. And then you click the stairs, and that's how you start a dungeon.

You can probably find this all in the dungeoneering guide we have here on tip. We are a help site after all.

Here's the link to our Dungeoneering guide. It'll be of great help I'm sure

Actually I would like to know the reason you're restricting yourself from an incredibly helpful skill.

Alright then, the reason why I don't train summoning is because I think it's a ripoff of Pokémon.

...Isn't Runescape a ripoff of most if not all other role-playing games?

Afaik, the closest resemblance to pokemon is in dungeoneering, and you don't seem to have a problem training that for the benefits. (Certain styles are "super-effective", stormbringer's magic attacks look a bit like Pikachu's thundershock, the title you get for summoning all 6 familiar types in 1 floor, I'm sure there are others.)

As the size of an explosion increases, the number of social situations it is incapabale of solving approaches zero.

Ensure you are not a social situation.

To be Frank that is a rather silly reason to not train a skill that has a multitude of benefits. And Pokemon isn't exactly original. Many stories way before it of people, mages, sorcerers and the like controlling other creatures to do their bidding.

Hope you get over that little block soon and see how great summoning is :)
