The final Wild Weekend will run from Saturday the 26th up to and including Monday the 28th (GMT) in their entirety.

The monkeys of Ardougne Zoo have been curiously observing the penguins and their spying antics. From Saturday to Monday inclusively, if you manage to hunt down 10 monkey escapees who are running wild throughout RuneScape, youll be able to claim an exclusive monkey cape!

 

 

If youve found all 10 monkeys, head over to Diango in Draynor Market to claim your prize!

 

Zombie Monkey Invasion!

 

The Community Team will be frequently spawning an invasion of zombie monkeys throughout the weekend. If you manage to kill at least 5 on a given day, youll receive an XP lamp for your efforts in fighting back the zombie masses. This is repeatable from Saturday to Monday inclusive, so you can receive up to 3 XP lamps in total.

Well, when stomp the bosses was announced at first the SoF wasnt included, you might have to wait until the weekend start to see if there is no new promos with SoF.

But Stomp the Bosses announcement was not the 'Wild Weekend;' it was an announcement of community events.

The wild weekend announcement of double loot had the SoF monkey items in it straight away.

I think this might be one of the better weekend promotions they've come up recently. It's got a hint of playfulness to it, has an award for participating and isn't cramming the SoF down our throats.

 

If I was a member (and not going to Sudbury 'till Monday night), I'd definitely be hunting monkeys this weekend. :thumbup:

Eh, interesting idea with the monkey hunt, but I can't say I'm a fan of the monkey theme overall. *shrug* Could be worse, but I still dunno that I'll participate.

I was kinda hoping for a dungeoneering weekend, double tokens or something :(

myself I never even did penguins, pointless minigame even if the rewards were decent, so this isn't much of an update.

Probably the same way zombies, skeletons, snowmen and all sorts of other junk has been spawned as 'attacking' for certain events. Non-aggressive monsters in a specific area.

Doesn't seem wild in any shape or form. Doesn't seem very fun or rewarding.

Must be one hell of a monkey cape.

So mad at Jagex, seeing this... They should have made both this, the items on the SoF, and the double-drops a two-week-long thing. Instead, they pack it into such small weekend time periods that I can't even take advantage of them and therefore get done out of them completely! Hell, pardon me going big type and all caps, but...

They had better think more before releasing these things in the future, or else... I'm seeing red right now, due to this. :angry:

Considering weekends are the time when people are most likely to go out instead of staying in it makes sense for them to make it the weekend only to keep people logging in.

(-cries a tear that some people don't like hunting penguins- :???: )

 

Overall, it is certainly better IMO than the other promotions this month.

I got the most out of the double runespan point weekend I feel. The rest of the weekends didn't interest me much. Double drops weekend would've been better if I did boss-hunting more than once every other full moon.

D.V., with the exception of the monkey mace, pretty much everything they've offered over the weekends have been members only anyway.
