@Ring

Then make them go afk at Bandits or at Orks, not in a safe minigame that generates profit while you sleep.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

NMZ is efficient in terms of maxing out melees but not for 200m all goals.

Also to people nocking NMZ training, keep in mind Guthan afking is how people have always gotten 200m's in meleeable skills. Remember in actual 07 where people would camp at GWD at get attacked by some of the weaker npc's there. Back then there wasn't even the 6hr auto log.

6 hour auto log has been around long before 2007. I honestly do not know when that was introduced, but it was for sure around by at least 2006. I was highly competitive on RuneMonkey back then (2006-2009). All one day records where actually 28-29.5 hours to get in that extra 5-6 hours from auto logs.

I do know around early 2009 the "inactivity" timer was changed from 90 seconds to the current 5 minutes. I also remember you'd get logged off in rsc if you didn't move a tile in 5 mins.

Edit- gwd afking in bandos room was short lived. iirc Jagex nerfed it shortly after it became popular. Players could also kill you kinda easily. Prior to gwd and after gwd bandits was the place for pkers and pvm accs. Miles15 was first to 200m def at bandits in January 2007.

I am not a skiller, but i do some skills.

There was always a certain risk to Guthans AFKing back in the day though. Evil chickens could kill you at bandits, for example, if you tried going to sleep there.

I get that it is efficient for real life, but I still don't understand why you think it is impressive.

Didn't realize there's been a PC cc for the veteran boat for a while: iemz pc and iemz pc1

Also, the Miscellania "shortcut" unlocked via Fremennik medium diary is ironically slower than simply running to the bank from the boat. Lame.

Why would you use the bank in Miscellania in the first place?

It's an occasional pit stop after getting approval back to 100% via teaks.

Daily routine is, in no particular order:

- teleport to NMZ and spend my hard-earned, well-deserved points on herb boxes

- teleport to Varrock and buy staffs

- teleport to my home and run to Miscellania for 100% approval

~350k gp for a few minutes of work. If you know of a more efficient way to keep approval at 100% let me know :D I save Miscellania for last on every other day so that way half the time I log in and I'm already at the teaks.

Killed Zulrah a few times but it wasn't very fun (probably because I haven't memorized its patterns yet). Assuming Zulrah remains boring, I don't see the point in skilling or doing PvM for money when I can just sit back and get rich via my daily activities.

Thanks. I bought one of those a long time ago but never touched it after realizing I had to charge it in deep wild. Though now that I can just teleport there via the wilderness sword I think I'll buy some more and go nuts :D

Where on Miscellania does it teleport you to?

This somehow reminds me of the Monty Python firing squad skit where they all shoot and miss. What is going on in that picture anyway, Clan Wars..?

This is Lumbridge castle. They're all sitting there splashing on purpose to make time pass until 24h passed so they can trade.

So... Gold farming accounts or what?

Newly made f2p accounts can't trade to other players for the first 24 hours of game time.

So what better way to get through that than by splashing on rats for 6 hours while you're at work/asleep/etc

I see, so much facepalm...I wonder if they managed to ban them prior to the 24 hours, probably not  .

Yeah most likely.

Splashing isnt against the rules

Nope, I suppose not, you have a good point. But a bunch of accounts that just started playing splashing in Lumbridge Castle, presumably on the same/similar IPs should at least raise some red flags for them to investigate subsequently. One would hope anyway.

So it begins...... Finally got enough cash to buy Guthan's and Seismic Wand. Goal is to get my stats up enough to make that cash back and put it back on RS3.

“Do you have any regrets?”

“I don’t. It seems surprising, I know, but I wouldn’t change a thing. This is how it was meant to be.”

“Huh, you never really notice how lovely the day is until you realize you’ll never see it again.”

“Mmmhmm.”
