I seriously wouldn't bother with him until you are 70+ range or 85+ melees. You are going to use probably a whole prayer potion on him, and he's just going to increase the drain when you do the other brothers.

 

I mean... If you want to get that 40k ahrim's hood or 70k ahrim's staff be my guest.

I wasn't planning on doing him once I started actually barrowing. I just had finished with Upass/50 Construction/DT, etc. and wanted to give Barrows a test run, thus the 8 or so ppots I brought.

Literally the second time I've gotten crashed for an item worth 10m+

If it makes you feel any better. If it had of been your drop, or any of your friends. It is highly unlikely it would have been an Arcane. Drops are registered via the player not the NPC.

I understand that, but I'd rather get 5k gp worth of Pure Essence than some shit kids crash us for an Arcane.

Hello everyone! Good to be back on TIF after a while away. As a refresher: I was around pre-eoc, had some good times dungeoneering with the EOE clan, and lurked in hyt often. My rs3 account has high 80s in all combat, with 60+ in the rest of my skills. Recently got back into RS after I discovered old school. Holla. Here's my progress after about a month (+/- one week of f2p) 

I'm going to be keeping this a zerker for now I think, might try to learn to pk and do some bounty hunter, which I never did on my old account.

The current GE guide price on dark kebbit furs is over 15k. I have no idea why either.

Yeah it was lots of fun having things like this in your bank, that have some real value being completely untradable because of a wrong item value and Jagex being completely unwilling to fix it :lol:

 

 

 

I think that's what pissed me off the most about loss of free trade. Why the [bleep] would you put in GE limits? Because they're afraid of someone selling some obscure item to someone else for 2 billion to rwt? Uhhh ok.

 

Or maybe the PP junk and unstrung c'bow fetishists at Jagex just got off a lot at the mass amount of crap in our bank.

You mean the limits of +/- 5%? To prevent prices from fluctuating too rapidly thanks to "merch clans" back in the day for one. And believe it or not once caps came off you could trade obscure items around the G.E. as a means of transferring money, although thanks to quantity limits it would be rather slow and clunky way of doing it and no way it could be done on that scale.

You guys, I understand why Jagex put those into place, my point was that the it was a worthless addition as it did nothing practically nothing to prevent that. It just made it aggravating as hell to trade most items.

Make them into gloves, equip them, and everywhere you go, be sure to tell everyone there, how fantastic those gloves are, and how in just a few short minutes you sewed them together, instead of buying them. "Do you know how much these would cost in a department store the grand exchange? 16k a piece. A piece! Prices these days, I tell ya."

 

Then cue the token F2P-Vegan-Activist teleporting in and throwing red dye all over your gloves, before screaming about the latest Kebbit Crisis, and home teleporting away in their Stronghold of Sekurity boots (knock offs, of course), amulet of power, and bizarre sense of self entitlement. Leaving you with fancy gloves that have been rendered completely useless for the art of Pick-pocketing, and an odd feeling in your gut, which would later turn out to be the beginnings of a stomach ulcer.
