February 15, 200620 yr WEll I was wondering how you pronounce, Ardougne, I simple pronounce it Ar-Done Eight Bananas, MD.
February 15, 200620 yr Well, seeing as I remember when Ardougne came out back in RSC, I was very little then and pronounced it Ar-dugg-nuh. Ever since then it has stuck even though I know it's pronounced differently. :D
February 15, 200620 yr Ard-rouge I never really knew the real pronounciation. Once you start to pronounce something you can't learn the correct way. e.g In an IRL book there is acharchter called Bartimaeus. He is meant to be pronounced Bar-tim-ay-us (just realized the pronounciation page in the 2nd book) but I already used to "Bar-tim-us".
February 15, 200620 yr I don't think I've ever said it out loud, but in my mind it's "Ar-Doon" (rhymes with 'noon')
February 15, 200620 yr ar-dune plain and simple "How you act when no one is looking is the clearest indicator of the strength or depravity of your true character. " yeah, he's deffinetly a little excited...dont worry its not a glitch...d legs are meant to stretch in that area for that reason.
February 15, 200620 yr I pronounce it "Arr - Doug - Nee" It's probably wrong, but hey...that's how I say it, so that's how it goes. XD |2,300+ Total|138 Combat|12 Lvl 99 Skills|99 Slayer|
February 15, 200620 yr I'd say the most logical would be "arr-doo-nyeh but i never call it arrdoonyeh, i call it ardy to make it easy.. EDIT: well, i sent a letter to the postbag asking how it's pronounced.
February 15, 200620 yr lol i no it sounds silly but i pronouce it "A drone" dont no why but i always have :? "A disbelief in magic can force some poor souls into believing in authority and business"
February 15, 200620 yr Ar-dong? Ahh-Drog-Aknee? Ar-Dong-Ee? Ar-De-Gone? Ard-rouge? Where are you guys even getting some of those letters? I can see the Arr-Dug-Nee pronunciations, ok, so you spoke it phonetically. I can see the Arr-Doon-Ye, so you spoke it like you were speaking Spanish. Strictly speaking, English-wise, it should be Arr-Doon. Ar- Like a pirate! Dougne- Like Frank Herbert. -Gn makes the "N" sound, like in "Gnu." -E on the end makes it sound like "Ne." -Dou, in English, when followed by a consonant sound, makes the "Doo" sound. Ar- Should be self explanatory Phonetically spelled Ardoone.
February 15, 200620 yr since the first time i saw it i've always pronouced it ar-dr-oug, occasionally i try and pronouce it corretcly, or what i now think is correct, but i just keep calling it the first thing that comes to mind -= weasel =- rsname: moosewalker ~ top 10000 player :Dfull qp - always willing to chat add me...
February 15, 200620 yr The suffix is French so shouldnt it be Are-dawn? Seems both logical and proper to me.
February 15, 200620 yr Are-dough-nay I swear some of you people would think it was a fair update if we had a lever you could pull which gave you 99 all stats and any item you liked. ----- Paul Gower; Runescape Senior Content Designer
