I'd vote for the museum thing, if we got a floor in Varrock Museum instead of a POH room. Just one room leaves too few space to be used. With an entire floor we can have crafted statues, magical holograms depicting memorable moments, ornate displays, a research room where we could get new lore from. With a POH room, we get 6 buildable hotspots, yey.

That literally the only thing I have against the museum, it's way too small this way, we need to go bigger!

Well, some kind of interface depicting a short scene or something. Right click on it, and you can choose cutscenes from quests that play on your game screen. That's something I'd choose. :p

Honestly one of the closer polls... All ideas of crazy good. THis poll could easily cover three years of holloween!

Sorry Helring, but I am having a hard time to chose between your idea and the Egyptian-esque idea as I love history.

 

Although I see potential for both of those idea to merge.

All options might give a lot of lore, I'm quite torn on what to choose, as they all seem great.

I will have to root for #2, something staying after the event sounds best to me - although I think any of those would satisfy me frankly, really nice ideas. Hopefully there is a decent F2P component to whichever ends up winning. It would be nice if they could do more than one of them. I don't see why they couldn't add the recurring yearly spectres as well :).

Shouldn't need this as a runelabs idea... It should be a core concept in the god wars. The exception is that things should be much like WE2, but with a bit of OSRS deadman concept included. Whatever faction material is collected can be looted from their corpse.

So, like a goblin raiding party, but with the wandering AI of the second world event?

 

In addition, it would be neat to see units from the previous world events make a bit of a comeback...it would also provide an opportunity for less represented factions to be visible as a contributing factor to the conflict, rather than taking turns like this is high tea or something.

Honestly, if I can get these in with RuneLabs, I have some ideas for expansions to it. Involving monthly contests between factions, combine it with my item sink idea and such. But first I gotta get the ball rolling at least a bit.

To be honest I detest all the suggestions that we should have warband things roaming around fighting and such because there is a godwar happening.

 

In terms of the game lore it is complete nonsense and does not fit with current events.

 

The gods have returned yes, the gods have had a couple of battles yes but there is not all out war at this point in time.

 

Marimo and Brassica Prime couldn't care less about war and just want to have fun.

Zaros is busy working on his bigger plan with no heed for the others.

Bandos is dead and his followers are either licking their wounds or following Zanik to restore their homeworld.

Armadyl doesn't want war or fighting particularly and has no reason to go after anyone right now.

Saradomin is off somewhere being a smug plank about gaining power and defeating Zamorak and no doubt loving the fact like 99% of the world follows him now whilst also working on the whole restore the centaurs thing.

Zamorak is busy being stealthy and hiding and trying to get the stone from Sliske

The desert pantheon is busy being screwed around with by Amascut.

Seren hasn't even been re-built yet.

Tuska isn't even on Gielinor.

 

What exact conflict is there supposed to be that needs visible factions fighting it out or whatever all over the place?

 

I mean don't get me wrong it's a nice idea and all and when the time is right and all out war does emerge from the gods return it'll work wonderfully, but right here, right now it doesn't make any sense because there is no open conflict happening.
