Omg...In summer 2005, lvl 3 noobs weren`t like that.... Things have indeed changed... :? uhm, in summer 2005 noobs where the same as now the big difference is between rsc and rs2 Computers will never be above humans because we made them. That's what monkeys used to say about us. Striker6
Why can't they just behave more friendly and decent? Because most of them are like 11 years old, they don't think morals apply on the internet.
Gamerr
I've played since day 1,. and I dont know why lilyuffie88 is better than zezima :? they are good in their own ways, they have very different interests, and i doubt they see eachother as competitors. Lilyuffie is the only one of the current top 20-30 who achieved the highest combat level in RSC (123).
Bamla
Each month it's getting worse. More and more scammers come in daily, and the percentage of scammers compared to honest players starting out is going on a nosedive. How are we gonna deal with it when we get players comparing honest to dishonest at a rate of 10 to 90. FOr evry 100 players we'll have 10% good people. So everyone. Play honest for gods sake. Make it a good place for those who were here when we did'nt have bad people coming in daily like letting terrorist into a country... Y'now just not nearly as serious. I think all of you are making an unfair generalization. But in general, I think you're right, unfortunately.
Screechingmu
I have basically given up on going to F2P anymore... duokiller
noobs are really getting out of hand, when you give them stuff, not a single appreciation came above their heads..... and if you give them free stuff, they ask for more! This is why i never give stuff to noobs around lvl 20-50 (lvl 3s are cool, but only the guys in lumby castle)
sk8ermaster
only future can tell... And the reason why you think that people are acting "noob:ish" is because RuneScape players have become too experienced, back in 2001 - 2002, everyone was a beginner and there were a lot of beggars as well. the good ol day, every lvl 70 you saw was worshipal anyway, im pretty sure ranked 3 player-n0valyfe is a rs2 product
silentknight
I started a month ago and im lvl 50 already. I really dont care for anyone who thinks that every sinle player who isnt level 250 is some 6 year old fat kid who begs for 8 hours a day. Agreed, there are a lot of players doing this, but they are not all like this. Have some faith... I, like eirvine1, joined about a month ago and my character is at level 61. In my short time on Runescape, I have seen plenty of high level characters act as badly the low level characters. "Maturity" in Runescape doesn't come from what level you are but by what kind of player you choose to be.
SDK
People have always complained about noobs, to think that the problem is worse now than in the past is foolish. There are a lot more worlds today, so obviously the total number of people acting like twits has increased quite a bit. To be fair I would say that the percentage of noobs is close to the same, except if you are on world 1 . I started just before wildy came out, I was about lvl 18 then "Whats my level", it might have not been as bad back then as they could just kill you if your level was close enough. ~SDK
booduz69
I have basically given up on going to F2P anymore... I just cannot find any good players to talk to or any quite places to myself there :( World 7, Edgeville. I recently got my Members back, and to be honest, i found the community better in F2P. Obviously i don't mean World 15 Lumbridge, but i could spend a good few hours standing at Edgeville bank chatting to people that came in. I made nearly all of my best RuneScape friends in Free To Play.
kelem_ryu
you will never notice and remember the people quitely doing their stuff, never asking for anything. the only people you notice are the beggars and scammers. btw i started in july 2005. look where i am now =P
bluebell1
a solotion to this problem may be to ask these begger for free stuff. it would be a taste of there own medicen. i know that may be chidish but it may show some of them why not to beg. These noobs could also be ditched by going into the minning guild or any other guild that they cant enter
Adeluz
I've been thinking about this, and I'd love to see a newbie rise up out of the ground and work hard on his own, then surpass us all. He'd be my hero. In the begging slump we've fallen into, it's hard to find a good, hard-working newb who would rather give you free fish than receive free fish himself (or herself). It's a possibility, but I haven't seen it. But, ah, that's what pures are for. To create the dream of a non-begging noob.
tefda
I'm sure that someone a couple years ago would have made a similar topic saying that anyone who's going to be a real player of Runescape has already joined. What about all of those RS2 Products that have achieved so much so quickly.
aznmidget448
I think they will. Everyone started out as a lvl 3 noob and has gotten pretty far (unless they quit...) Heck, I was a lvl 3 noob (not a begger, but i frequently asked questions, which got me a couple friends, lol). I've gotten pretty far and i'm proud of myself. I think those lvl 3s will be successful as the older start to quit.
