A question about Mourning's Ends Part II

Featured Replies

I have decided that's the next quest I'll try out.

Before I do that I am gonna make reviews of two quests that I remember and love a lot. Thankfully there are YouTube videos that show the dialog, so I don't need to remember and think too deeply about them.

Anyway, when I do the quest I'm thinking about having sharks in my inventory the entire time. My question is, is it a good idea?

Don't give me any information whatsoever about anything, I just want a simple yes or no. I want to be 100% surprised when I get around doing the quest. And for the first time ever I won't use a walkthrough at all, since I wanna be able to do a proper review when I'm done with it.

it would be a good idea to have food in your inventory. you may not use it, but it would still be a good idea to have some.

Oh my.. without a guide? Good luck!!

You may want to bring a set of guthans for healing depending on your stats

You may need a few free inventory slots (I haven't done the quest clearly) but carrying around food shouldn't hurt.

If you have good gear and healing abilities maybe a few.

If not yes a good bit

Hey, don't worry about it I know for a fact I'll be able to survive just fine.

Unless of course the monsters use magic, but other than that I will be able to survive just fine, I love my dragon armor. (don't suggest better armor, dragon is my favorite melee armor and I'm sticking to it.) And my defense level is 97 which is ridiculously high.

I'm thinking about having either 15 or 20 sharks in my inventory. As long as I do that I know I will survive just fine. I don't need Guthan's armor, I have enough sharks to last me three decades.

You'll need like 10+ free slots if I remember correctly. A bob will be advantageous.

In that case I will have 15 sharks in my inventory instead of 20 like I usually do.

Sorry about double posting, but I have one more question, again be brief as I want no spoilers.

Are there any monsters that use magic? Because if there are, I know I have to be careful, and I am gonna have my ranged equipment ready.

From our quest guide it appears yes, there are, but it does not seem that you have to necessarily stand and fight them, more like run past.

Somehow I feel trying to do MEP2 without s guide is going to end in up in a car crash of failure.

It's the one of two quests in the entire game I recall that a lot of people can't manage without a guide and one of two that took substantial amounts of time to be beaten by anyone before guides arrived.

I know I clocked in at around 8 hours on it and I was among the early ones to beat it!

Also at Arceus comment pretty sure the only magic using monster in the area is entirely avoidable as they are in a different locale to where you need to go; the only monster you really deal with is a melee user.

I will only use a guide if it's absolutely necessary.

I'm going to at least try to do the quest without it first.

I have another question, and yet again all I want is simple yes or no.

Will it take me at least a week to finish the quest, assuming I only play RS 4 hours a day or so.

Yes without a guide.

Without a guide going in blind on launch day it took me in excess of 12 hours to complete the quest and I was still among the first small amount of players to beat it.

And this is from someone who is pretty darn good at puzzles, so at 4 hours a day sans guide in excess of a weeks playtime solving it is entirely possible.

It is ill-advised to go in w/o a guide for at least a certain part. The puzzle is incredibly complex and requires quite a lot of 3D thinking amongst other things.

One of the quests most people resort to using a guide, even if they don't on most,  Of course you can always give it a go without a guide and resort to one if/when you feel necessary.

And yes, I'd work on half inventory for food,

good luck!
