May 26, 201511 yr Yeah this test seems to kind if suck assYou might as well accept your fate and move in with Gwyn You and ALG too plsWell okay then I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
May 26, 201511 yr You know, every once in a while somebody says; "I don't speak Canadian." Just goes to show how stupid some peoples kids are.
June 2, 201511 yr Our top three guesses for your English dialect:1. Canadian2. American (Standard)3. US Black Vernacular / Ebonics Our top three guesses for your native (first) language:1. English2. Dutch3. Norwegian I'm surprised with how right it is to be honest. Not sure where Ebonics came from though. http://forum.tip.it/topic/325514-bonez899s-journey-to-an-eventual-max/ My blog of progress on Runescape.
June 4, 201511 yr Same as RPG, Albel, and Bonez. Given that Canadian English is really my only language, I guess they nailed it for me. I suppose that, at least for Canada, US standard and Ebonics would make sense. I think accent plays a part of it. You recognize that someone with a different accent speaks a different dialect, and instead absorb phraseology from other people who speak your language in the same accent that you do. I also had to laugh at their example. Even before I finished reading that paragraph, I was thinking "that sounds like something they would say in Newfoundland". In case it's not always the same, it was "throw me down the stairs my shoes", which doesn't sound entirely incorrect to me. It's just such a beautiful and convoluted way of saying something so simple. We call it Newfinese. They have some great sayings, but I can't use them because no one where I live knows what they mean. Best is probably "stay where you're to till I comes where you're at".
June 4, 201511 yr Newfinese sounds like the retarded cousin of slack jawed yokels and pineys Quote Quote Anyone who likes tacos is incapable of logic. Anyone who likes logic is incapable of tacos. PSA: SaqPrets is an Estonian Dude Steam: NippleBeardTM Origin: Brand_New_iPwn
June 17, 201511 yr Ok their algorithm is still a bit off clearly.. Our top three guesses for your English dialect:1. Singaporean2. American (Standard)3. Welsh (UK) Our top three guesses for your native (first) language:1. Chinese2. English3. Greek It's funny because I specifically avoid the American English phrases. I'm from New Zealand (which I'm sure New Zealandish isn't even a word) and our English is British English. Although because of television and movies, a lot of American English has crept in. So this test was way off I'm afraid. -
June 17, 201511 yr What I find interesting though is if he specifically tried to avoid picking the american english ones, presumably to purposefully force his result away from that even though he might use some of them?, he doesn't actually known american english all that well as he's managed to pick a lot of them XD Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
