It's so hard to tell from distance if ore has respawned.

By popular demand, this signature is back- however I currently do not have a blog up at the moment and if I did I wouldn't update it. Sorry, the sig links to nowhere :( .

I logged onto RS a couple of days ago for no reason and went to the crafting guild and mined some gold ore and then I realized the rocks had changed I was like..."what tha!?" but i've gotten used to them now.

Only some of the rocks have changed, I think its mostly rocks without any aggro NPC's to attack you, thats just a guess though.

what rock have you been hiding under all this time? it mustve been a rock in the wildy or on karamja... this update happened a long, long time ago. as jagex continues their updates around the world, they will eventually upgrade all the rocks to look like this. go check out the ones in barbarian village, i hear they contain two ores each(i think its clay and tin).

I couldn't care less if he was Andrew Gower himself, I just don't like arrogant smegheads.
*in the voice of the comic book guy from the simpsons* best. quote. EVER!

I actually like them better this way. I powermined up several levels (to 79) mining only iron ores at the Rimmington mine.

Woot! Got total lvl 900 in f2p!

They updated the crafting guild long ago. But yes, some other places have changes recently. The mine a tad west of Faldor has converted to these "piles of poop containing ores" as I call them. I much prefer the old style, and I have no idea why Jagex is doing it.

They also changed it to make it harder for autoers, how it made it harder, i dunno..

The rocks remind me to much of clay..

Sorry for such a short post.. and its not spam its called an opinion

the new rocks are a step closer to the rocks looking more realistic, i mean you don't just get a projection of coal ou the ground, u get a lump of rock with coal in.

I think the way it stops autoers in by reducing the amount of colour showing when the rock is ready to be mined again, so it can't be detected easily buy the autoer, but inadvertantly made it a tad hard to see for normal players, ohwell you can't win them all.

I started playing in October '05, and the rocks in the Rimmington mine were like that then. It's been there for a while.

I like the original rocks because it was easier to tell if they had the ore or not... I guess it's either to resemble actual mining better or to mess with the autoers.
