How many of you wear your cape while training, and how many just leave it in the bank as a trophy?

 

 

 

Are the stat bonuses worth the risk of lagging and losing it, or does it stay in the bank almost eternally?

I can't answer youyr question, because i'm a lowly lvl 37, but I just read the forum to see how many players actually own a fire cape. Does anybody? anyone at all?

I've seen plenty of people post about owning a firecape, and all around Runescape I see people wearing them for show and a some in training.

Firecapes are often used in training by most 120+'s because they can usually easily get another.If you have a bad connection, dont take it as you may very well lag out and lose it depending on what you're training on. If you have a good modem or other fast connection, then by all means use it because it does help often in training

I see mixed, people training for their max hit wear one seeing as it is the best cape in the game however for normal training, usually no because it only increases your max by like 1 or 2 which makex the risk of losing it because of losing connection not worth it.

Which is why I said only use it if you have a faster connection

the second time getting it, is much easier then the first

i've seen someone pking with a firecape while skulled! but he was lvl 125 so i'm sure he could take care of himself

Well if I owned one, I'd think it would be pretty pointless storing it in your bank. I'd want to show off with it. Even on a 46.6kbs connection i actually rarely lag, and I find my broadband friends lag more than I. It would be very unlikely for me to die with it on, but I would probably then just wear an obsidian cape.

I would pk with mine.

It depends on how easy it is for you to get it back. For some people all it consists of is 2 hours work as they get it everytime.

ive done that a few times :P wasnt scared about losing it...no hard to get back

I've seen quite a few people about the place training in them; craziest I've seen though was only a couple of days ago in Barrows the guy was only lvl 105 and was fighting Dharock in his crypt with NO PRAYER :shock:

theres no risk training with it unless you dharok and are far from telespots. The stats are even worth it to pk with it- theres no real risk loseing it thatway cause you can pick it up after dieing. + the fight caves only hard thing is that its quite long(90 mins)

I do everything with it except for pk'ing.

 

 

 

Even so, if I take it to dangerous spots I try to keep it among the items I keep when I die, since having to get it again would be rather annoying.

I use mine to train... some high lvl's pk with theirs

 

 

 

I don't risk it pking, because it required 20 hours and a lot of grief

2nd, 3rd, ++++ times would be 1-2 tries, since you really know what your doing

if i had one i'd wear it all the time except for the wildy and barrows(i totally suck at barrow runs and die alot =P)

i wear mine for everything except pk'ing which i barely do

 

i did lose it once and had to do the minigame over again which was the worst part =\

 

2 hrs is not really a short time

i dunno why people like fire cape i mean yeah its a good achievement and all but really it looks rubbish i mean a bright orange cape! if there was just a normal bright orange cape in the game i bet no1 would wear it, partly cause orange dont match with anything. a black obby cape goes with anything! if i had the cape i would never wear it cause i h8 it and thinks it looks ded dodgy and really wide for some reason....

Worked hard for it, no point in letting it sit in my bank. Even if I do lose it, I can get it back easily

yes i do but my connection is rather fast, and i would hate to get it again if

 

i ever did die with it, but yes i take the risk

yeah i used mine for most things just wouldnt take it to things like kq or pking cause im still quite a low lvl (108) and its rather easy to get back anyway did it in 2 trys. would have probs got first try but comp crashed 5 rounds from end lol
