You really a girl? me: Yeah. What of it? person: Wanna be my gf? me: I'm too old for you, lad person: How old? me: 24 person: Wow and you still play games? Ur a girl! And too old! me: Yeah, the doctors consider me a medical wonder. person: Huh? me: Anyway, I need to get to bed, it's late (aren't I subtle) person: Bahaha, its not even 5 pm u noob. I don't know why I bother. On the other hand, sometimes I meet cool people this way, who enjoyed the byplay ;-)

beowulfnjall
I just experienced the ultimate: Was killing a few Ogres, and was asked my age. Answered 41, and was told: a) We don't believe you B) You have nerve playing this game -- it's for kids c) You should be ashamed to be playing this (but we still don't believe you) Reminded me of the Trix commercials ("Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids" :-) And when I explained that my kids suckered my into it, the conversation just got worse :-)

Fat_Slug
lots of us oldies around thankfully. my latest answer to getting asked my age now is adult. they can then back away thinking i'm way too old to be playing, or think thank god, i'm not the only old person playing here. i think most know that i'm a 33 year old mum, with 3 kids who play rs when wow's down. my husband used to play (bigdom) but gave up many moons ago to the lure of everquest 2 and starwarsgalaxies. i've played since sept 2001, and am in love with my bunny ears  Runescape nick : Fat_SlugOwner of Ears, Scythe and a 10 year veteran cape :D

Boss:Your fired! Me:Why for what reason i'll take you to a tribunal. Boss:You 2-hit me in the wilderness. Me:Fair enough.
bogdraw
I'm 45 and my 12 year old son introduced me to the game. I'm about twice his level now because I never get grounded by his mother for playing runescape instead of studying! He lives in Indiana and I in Michigan and its fun doing stuff together (except PKing; he loves it I don't). I think were gonna go pick flax next. My RS name is also Bogdraw-look me up. I think it's really cool that you two can be together on runescape, since you're separated somewhat and all. I'd never thought of runescape as something that could do that... Satenza
I'm in. I was a Diablo player for years. After I had my ultimate goal achieve last Christmas, I found it kind of lack of incentive... I searched around for new, free, Online RPG games, that's why I'm here. Anyone with Michael Corleone in their signature gets a respect point from me. On topic, you need to search high and low for mature players. Not everyone pver 25 is mature you know. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
jiggeryqua
I'm 42. Hedgehog64
There are many more older players than most people realize. The sad truth of it is, most older players are embarrassed to tell their age because either: A. They think they're the only older player out there. or B. They're afraid of being made fun of by all of the younger players, who often say older players have "no life." Unfortunately, choice B is almost always true. I'm glad there are as many older players as there are, without them the RS community would be a huge immature mess. Also, not to advertise for clans or anything, but there's a group called "AESOP" (if you search that in the RS forums they'll come up), who have no level requirements, but they have a required age of 18. It allows older players to enjoy "old times" without the stresses of most clans. You might want to check it out if you're interested in finding other older players.
