April 7, 200620 yr IF we're still around... I predict that most of our evolving will be evolution of the brain. So far, that's the fastest evolving part of humans over the past few thousand years (studies have shown). And if we're already in one of the most "evolved" states (ie walk on feet use hands), I think brain evolution is the only way left to go for a while... Runescape Name: "unbug07"Expand your mind.
April 7, 200620 yr I think theres actually a theory that states were going to go back.. or at least get smaller.. i should find this somewhere, dont remember where i seen it.
April 7, 200620 yr Author I'm glad that a lot of people have been active on this thread and I must say that I agree with Mercifull and his good point (I already had that in my head before I made this post). But this is were my praise ends... you people have gone too much off subject, my question was how humans will change in their way of living and body structure. Mercifull's statement has cancelled out the second one. In this thread, too many people have gone out of the subject, you've discussed that we humans are dead by then and about supernovas and other natural things. That wasn't what I expected, my question was based on that none of those things happened (there isn't even enough proof that they will either, just crazy theories). My answer or opinion to that question that I asked from the beginning, "how humans will change in their way of living" is that they will probably adjust to a life close to the sea/water since the sea level rise will drain a lot of land. They might live in man-made islands or floating rafts or ships as large as a city. They might also live underwater if they can manage the need of oxygen and counter the water pressure problems. These theories are very possible, I think, because they already exist, but in a very small amout and not for living. (submarines, underwater science stations). Another, less possible, theory is that we humans will move to other planets with spacecrafts (star trek nerds), since the natural resources are probably very limited in the future. But that would take a lot of scientific progress... As Mercifull said, humans have gathered so much knowledge, that we can colonalize enviroments without having to change ourselves by natural selection. We change the enviroment so that it matches our needs. Visit my Runescape comedy website, based on in-game screenshots.
April 7, 200620 yr we won't have an appendix for sure, no wisdom tooth.. what I think is..... everyone will be black, but their ancestor is white people who listen to rap music. They geneticaly change the gene of their child to be black. and they kill all the white people or make them to become black. but the horn of Africa shall not be inherit by these mugblood. since like the most of the people i know is trying to be black.
April 7, 200620 yr I suppose we'd get a bit cleverer and perhaps look a little different through the more successful of us (in whatever way) breeding more. I don't really see our having to adapt to the environment happening much. Now, if only the aliens would come down and force the most intelligent of us to pair off and mate continuously (I'm paraphrasing -- I don't consider myself on of those who would be forced into mating) -- that'd speed things up a bit. Already been done, with out the aliens and mating part that is: Edit: Wrong link Some guy got the idea of getting alot of "genius's" together and getting them to donate their sperm. They got Noble Prize winners, artists, musicians, everything. They then made several babies, but only 2 of them had any "genius" qualities. One was an artist and I don't remember what the other one was.
April 7, 200620 yr Am I the only one finding this topic kinda depressing now? :o Talking about death and all. Nope, I find it depressing too... And I dont want to die by a cosmic cloud or a Supernova explosion or anyother thing that isint natural death... :( ~komodo

This is the way the world ends. Look at this [bleep]ing shit we're in man. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. And with a whimper, I'm splitting, Jack.
April 7, 200620 yr we won't have an appendix for sure, no wisdom tooth.. Are you sure? Wisdom teeth and appendixes certainly don't do anything for us, but they don't exactly do anything against us either - meaning the people with the wisdom teeth and appendix "genes" aren't going to die out.
April 7, 200620 yr I don't know about the rest of you, but I plan on having at least one more arm and wings by then :D Anyway, I don't think their will be any major changes if we live that long (which I highly doubt. One of us will screw up and create a deadly disease to kill everyone eventually). We'll probably get taller, and probably get more intelligent, but unless something drastic happens that removes our ability to shape the environment, nothing major will happen.
April 8, 200620 yr Hmmm.....people living on the moon....total ozone depletion.....people having to breathe out of oxygen masks because the air will be so bad.....insane amounts of cancer due to the ozone depletion......no fossil fuels left.....government even more corrupt than it is now..... Yeah, sounds good
April 8, 200620 yr By that time, the majority would probably racially mixed. Genetic problems will be widespread, but our bodies would be a lot more tolerant to a very toxic environment. I'd imagine male boobs would disappear too. :? The Enrichment Center reminds you that the weighted companion cube will never threaten to stab you and, in fact, cannot speak. In the event that the weighted companion cube does speak, the Enrichment Center urges you to disregard its advice.
April 8, 200620 yr We will be assimilated. Resistance and counterarguments are futile. My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. April 8, 200620 yr I think we will lose our Pinky Toes. With shoes, we've lost most use for it because we were designed to have toes to hold us up, but now we have big rubbery bedding doing that instead. Eventually we will be 8 toed humans :D ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâï(̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâú_o)/̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâï
April 8, 200620 yr Am I the only one finding this topic kinda depressing now? :o Talking about death and all. Yeah, me too. The second reply of "we'd be dead," got kind of annoying. The thread's assuming we'd still be alive. everyone will be black, but their ancestor is white people who listen to rap music. They geneticaly change the gene of their child to be black. and they kill all the white people or make them to become black. but the horn of Africa shall not be inherit by these mugblood. since like the most of the people i know is trying to be black. What are you talking about? Are you like, serious? I'd, er, argue against your points, but the idiocy of them seems doesn't even need to be argued against... I think everyone's said most of the guesses. Taller, thinner, possibly more adapted to those things that kill us now, like junk food, so basically if we still eat so much junk food, it won't be as harmful for future generations. I would guess from travel eventually the world would all blend into one race, a color around what indian people look like. If we take the genetic engineering route and fully exploit the technology, who knows really.
April 8, 200620 yr We might be taller. I don't know about that. But when you're talking about global warming, please don't listen to whatever your high school biology teacher says as your final authority. Yes, the globe is heating up. But it's heated up 0.1 degrees Celsius in hundreds of years. I'm not too worried. Besides, it's going to take a few degrees, not hundredths of degrees, to melt the polar icecaps and flood the world. As if 1 inch more of water would make such a big difference. You know, instead of giving money to save the planet, why not save the starving people in Asia and Africa? :?: You see, the only reason scientists mention it is to get money from people being fearful. The government likes it because they get more power to "regulate" heavy industry. Environmentalists like it because they get more donations to save the earth and all that junk. Everyone is using fear to get money or power by this whole environmental epidemic. :? Cars are bad, but no one had to make horse-drawn carriages disappear. They simply went away because people found an easier and cheaper way to travel. Hybrids or hydrogen-powered cars will soon rule the market, but until that comes don't worry about the state of the world. :) And on the topic of eugenics (or selective breeding), Hitler already showed us the real path of that mindset. Let's not be trapped in the past. If you care that much about eugenics, I've just written an 11 page paper on it. I can give you some sources to look up for it. I'm currently transitioning from a Wizard to a Mage and a Priest to an Archpriest. Lol both are nonexistant in the top 25. Hopefully I can change that. :D
April 8, 200620 yr Well advancements in medicene say that within 50 years our lifetimes would be 2-5 times longer than today so that would greatly slowdown human evolution. I think that if we were to harness the power of fision (trillions of gallions of full and efficint) and bioengener our crops to produce more food we could support nearly a hundred times the population from the increased food however humans would mostlikly have to live underground. I can not see the adverage tempeture increase by over 20 degrees farenhight (10cel) and life on Earth will adapt(some species will die). Humans are not going to grow any taller because their would be no advantage other than basketball, evolution chart shows us doing three things 1. straghter back 2.less hair 3. slightly larger. Humans will not decrease in brain size but I do not feel it will increase by much because we are becoming to dependant on computers. I do not feel that humans are gona blow themselves up because within about 5 years atleast America will have a defence system capable of destroing almost all missles. Any animal or plant that we use as a food source will never die so we are not going to starve. The ocen levels will rise as tempetures do so with the exception of flordia places are not going to be affected, but there will be an increase in rain in dry areas like most of africa.

Do you realize how many scientists research global warming? There is at least one too many...one scientist's funds can be used to save the starving people in Africa. (Hopefully through any way BUT the United Nations). I realize scientists need to do their jobs and support families. I'm not saying stop funding to science altogether...but they could be researching important such as making better breeds of plants or finding out how to transport/preserve food or learning how to conserve oil just to name a few. April 8, 200620 yr Are you sure? Wisdom teeth and appendixes certainly don't do anything for us, but they don't exactly do anything against us either - meaning the people with the wisdom teeth and appendix "genes" aren't going to die out. Many wisdom teeth are pulled here in Finland as they could cause problems in future :P I've personally "lost" 4 of them. Anyways that won't make their genes to die out, but at least they might do some harm :P Personally I believe we all are going to be either black or brownish. Black gene dominates white gene and eventually white people will just die out. I'm pretty sure I read some article that the last blond in England/Scandinavia/some place dies in like 200 years or so, don't remember exactly tho. You know, instead of giving money to save the planet, why not save the starving people in Asia and Africa? What's worth more billions of people around this planet or millions of people at Africa and Asia? I'd personally put more money on science if it could make this place a better place to live and if we could help our planet with that. If I could decide, I'd sacrifice some asians and africans now to help our future generations around the world. And on the topic of eugenics (or selective breeding), Hitler already showed us the real path of that mindset. Let's not be trapped in the past. He wasn't the only one. At United states approx 64,000 people were sterilated between 1907-1963. Hitler died in 1945 btw. Personally I'd support some "low" eugenics if it could help our future generations. If I had some sort of gene that could cause (with high odds) some lethal or painful things to my children or grandchildren, I'd think twice wether to get babies or not. I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.Name Removed by Administrator ~Turtlefemm

So why blame the ones researching weather and climate? Their field doesn't cover engineering plants; scientists aren't trained in every scientific field, and would make little sense and more problems to stick someone not trained in the field to come up with results.
April 9, 200620 yr MICE SHALL RULE THE WORLD!! I think there will be a few more world wars then peace all round :D Then people will be able to find a way to live on mars.....
