Recently we have found major changes in your IP address. Our logs show us that your account was used from different countries. We suppose that this account could be shared and it is against RuneScape rule 6. Rule 6 states that each account should only be used by ONE person. Account sharing is NOT allowed. You may not sell, transfer or lend your account to anyone else, or permit anyone else to use your account, and you may not accept an account that anybody else offers you.

 

We are requesting you to prove that you are true account owner. Otherwise we will ban your account permanently. To prove that you are true account owner, you have to do these following steps:

 

 

 

1) go to the RuneScape account support by clicking this link:

2) select Type of query 'Jagex asked me to prove that i own this account'

 

3) fill the form, enter as much information as you can and submit

 

4) we will answer through message center and e-mail in a few days

FAKE EMAIL WARNING:

 

-Because email isnt very secure we only use it to verify account users. If you receive any other email then it is a fake and should be deleted.

 

-ALL our emails have this warning message at the bottom

 

-Our emails will NEVER have attachments of any sort

 

-Jagex staff will NEVER ask you for your password.

 

 

 

Of coruse it came from the address '[email protected]'

 

 

 

But I mean its the worst one I ever seen

 

1) The list items has alot of capitals etc missing

 

2) It claims there has been major IP changes on my account, when I know I have only played it from my 1 computer

 

3) It claims the ip logs shows it have been accessed from different countries, last time I checked IPs were computer specific not linked to countries

Make your account hidden in your Tip.it profile so [developmentally delayed]s like this don't send you scam emails.

You know why you get those emails? Its because you show it to the public when people look at your tip.it profile. I had emails like that when i had mine shown, then i removed them and never gotten one.

I was at a public computer on post when I first started playing and recieved one of these emails. Since there was no fear of getting key-logged etc. I went to the site and put in an assorted amount of:

I got one saying that I was asked to become a player moderator. Weird thing is that I wasnt apart of anything that showed my email. The e-mail told me to click the link to accept my status as a player mod. It was a fake site, you know those free websites you can make but dont give you alot of features? it was one of those, telling me to enter my username, pass, bank pin, and then my lvl. I guess that way the scammers can tell if the guy is worth scamming. That is so stupid dude.
